If you're referring to the top right then that is the dog's lead. As evidence of this, you may be able to make out that it's the Fallout emoji dog lead from the Bethesda store.

Hello. I have a game area we recently finished for me and my wife. She has her own computer area but we share the game area and the kitchen where my area is. In the corner area no one was using. Every income tax we add stuff to it. We have been working on it for about 4 years not including my computer. I bought that before then, about 6 years ago. The computer is an I7-8700 with 32gb of ram and a RTX 2080 (water cooled). There is two monitors that both have their own speakers and a VR headset (Oculus Rift S). We use one monitor for movies and streaming and the other for typing and gaming. No one really uses the VR headset. Sometimes we play poker, the rest of it makes everyone sick. There is an computer chair and a slide out keyboard for this part of the area. The keyboard and mouse area has a volume knob. The computer has an Epic Games account with almost 500 free games I have collected over the last 4-5 years from their weekly free games and other specials. It has an SSD for the operating system, a 6tb storage drive and an extra 1tb drive i had laying around. (We also just finished my wife's area (not shown here, same colors and theme but all her electronics are white instead of black) and she got a new computer for it. I7-12700, 16gb ram and a RTX 3070(Water cooled)).

The console side of the setup has a more comfy chair and a side table for drinks or charging controllers. All the consoles run off of this TV. Everything has been modded to play the games digitally from one library on each system. I'm sure you can believe with my budget, refurbished yourself to save money, made the rest out of scraps setup, that i have a back room just filled to the brim with all the games i put on these systems and just dont wanna pull the out of storage. So lets move on to what I have. The first console is the Raspberry Pi 4 with a 256gb sd card. It emulates anything PS1 and lower except the N64 (I have a drawer full of usb controllers to make it more like the original experience. Sega controllers, SNES controllers, etc). I am not a fan of N64 emulation from the controller not being right, to the bad emulation. So second is the N64 with the game cart that has all the games. I got a wireless controller for it but its not the same as the original controller. Then the PS2 with 1tb hhd and a modded memory card. I got a really nice wireless controller for it. The PS3 with 1tb hhd. This is the only system that ran out of room for games and does not have extra space for more. The external drive never worked right and could only expand to 1tb internally. The PS4/PS VR has a 4tb hhd and a library for both PS4 and PS VR. The PS VR makes us all sick though so we dont use it much. The Wii/Gamecube with 1tb hhd and wireless Gamecube controller. We also have some accessories like steering wheel and gun holder. The Wii U with 1tb hhd. The Switch and Switch Lite both with 512gb sd card. I use the lite as a handheld, and leave the Switch docked. PS Vita/PSP with 256gb sd card. And last the New 3DS XL/DS with 256gb sd card. I left out XBOX. Not a fan of the controllers or the games only for their systems. I did early sega that would work on the Raspberry Pi but was not interested enough to buy the consoles that did not work on there.

So I am done. I was able to fit everything I wanted and think the rest will do just fine. If i could change one thing, I would have took the staples out of the cabinet doors before i painted. Something use to be on the front of them and I just painted over them. I still have a few touch ups to do on the paint and a few minor changes but I am pretty much done. The PS VR camera is kinda crocked in this picture. we played it the day before and its on there with Velcro. It comes off when we play and we put it where its needed at the time. It got put back sloppy and I did not notice. We had fun putting the pieces together to make the setup. Fixing the consoles and putting them back to good use. I had about 4 years of collecting and moving things about for the final form so I think I did pretty good on the cable management. Even if you open the bottom cabinets where the cords go you don't see them. They hide behind the drawer. You have to pull the drawer out to see the cords. Speaking of the drawers and doors we made the pokeball drawer knobs with a 3D pen and painted them. Our setup is no fancy all new masterpiece with flashy lights. But I sure love it just the way it is and I am proud of how it turned out. Hope you guys like it as well and that it inspires someone to do something cool with their own setup regardless of their budget or space limitations. Build it up over time if you need to, make it out of trash if you need to, repair it yourself if you need to, just do a good job and paint it all the same color so it doesn't look like trash anymore. Scrap wood is still wood and broken consoles can live again.

This is my little slice of tech....I haven't had chance to use it much in the last few months due to a new job, but it still does the job for me!

  • Ryzen 2600X
  • Asus Prime X470-Pro Motherboard
  • RTX MSI Armor 2070 8GB
  • 32GB Corsair Vengence RAM
  • Samsung Evo 970 boot NVME
  • DEEPCOOL Captain 240PRO V2 AIO
  • 2 x carbon wrapped 1TB scratch SSDs
  • 3 x S2415H monitors
  • Seasonic SnowSilent 750w PSU
  • NZXT S340 Elite case
  • Generic dual motor standing desk frame (forget the name)

Peripherals:

  • SteelSeries Aerox 3 mouse
  • SteelSeries Apex 7 keyboard
  • SteelSeries Arctic 7 headset

It still has enough power for me to do most things, but I am considering a chip upgrade to a 5-series Ryzen due to the prices they are available at, and I keep looking at Meshify cases for more airflow.

Small progress update from my setup; recovered enough from surgery to install the support beams that make the desktop “Odyssey Ark ready” and finally found perfectly sized mounting hardware to mount the speaker amp underneath—only to discover that the speaker cables I have are a few inches short. What’s another delay, eh? 😂

Any ideas/suggestions what more i could get for this setup? I was thinking to buy another monitor.

I know that RTX 4080 is overkill for 1440p, but i built this pc to be good also in the future

The lamp you see behind the monitor is Philips Hue Iris

(Oh, and i also own a Steam Deck (512gb), unfortunately im not using it that often as i thought 😄 )
