How much internet do you use in a month

Guest

Hello,

As the title suggests how much data you use? For me it's roughly 200-500GB because I seed torrents 24/7.

What about yours?

You mean mobile or "wired"? On mobile its 45Gb in a month, about. I don't have anything that would accurately measure monthly usage for wired. Router does only since last reset, operator doesn't have that available, and I don't plan to set datacap from Windows.

1TB to 2TB on average depending on the month (unlimited data).

Already used 550GB with 25 days left before a reset.

Going off of what my last ISP (Comcast) told me before I left them my household of 3 people used 8TB in a month which was honestly on a slow month where myself and one other member of the family were too busy with work to be watching the shows I torrent and seed or the Netflix bingeing the other family member does.

When we learned that we were going to be limited to only 1TB a month before paying a extra $50 per a TB of data up to $200 dollars we left that ISP immediately.

Needless to say if anyone tries to cap my data I am going else where.

We used 1016 Gigs last month. Comcast gives us 1.2 TB in a month. If we go over its $10 per every 50 Gigs you go over. We may end up getting unlimited data for $30/m, but we will have to see if this was just a spike for the month or if this is going to be the new norm. My dad retired in December so we are kinda keeping an eye on things and playing it by ear.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

I mean all of them combined ( router, phone)

I don't really have any way to accurately measure the total between all of my devices, but for me it's usually around 1TB per month, more if I'm downloading a lot of things. I don't have any data caps, but I only have 20 Mb/s up so cloud storage isn't really a great option for me.

Phobos: AMD Ryzen 7 2700, 16GB 3000MHz DDR4, ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 8GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, 2GB Nvidia GeForce GT 1030, 1TB Samsung SSD 980, 450W Corsair CXM, Corsair Carbide 175R, Windows 10 Pro

Polaris: Intel Xeon E5-2697 v2, 32GB 1600MHz DDR3, ASRock X79 Extreme6, 12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, 6GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, 1TB Crucial MX500, 750W Corsair RM750, Antec SX635, Windows 10 Pro

  • 1 year later...

About 30TB per month. A lot of torrent seeding. Unlimited data on Xfinity 1Gb down 200Mb up and unlimited data on ExpressVPN (no angry emails yet). March and February show 0 because they had a bug for some time i guess I was off the charts..

Here is our usage from a little over the past year. That's in Gigabytes. Our goal is to stay below 1229 GB so we dont have to pay extra. So far so good.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Been away from home for half this month, but Xfinity reports I've used 1.1 TB. No game downloads(updates did happen though). Mostly streaming and just some video uploads + backups.
