You can try disabling Javascript... but probably 80% or so of sites will stop loading.

You could try  disabling Images, disable loading fonts...

Add an extension that disables facebook twitter and other socials embedded in pages (so you don't load the javascript for them every page load etc etc)

Yes they do, it's called "Java" 😆

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Isn't  there like an alternative you can use instead of java so those 80% of sites don't stop loading if you disable java?

Like response times, load times, they are not horrendous but not that fast also. I installed opera gx and used youtube for a bit and it was loading instantly

Javascript is one thing, Java is something else.

No, Javascript is these days actually quite fast, super optimized... it used to be much slower and way more basic in the past.

Not only is Javascript better than it used to be, our hardware itself is designed to better accommodate it. Modern CPUs like the M1 or Intels latest chips are very good at handling bursty single threaded workloads like Javascript.

So the whole stack from Javascript > Browser > OS > Hardware has improved in important ways. Phones getting much better at Javascript is part of why responsive design could take over from the old "mobile site" method.

Chrome is already fast. If it's slow for you, it's not because of Chrome, but because of Internet or your computer.

But not fast enough

I think that's up to your internet speed/DNS server

you could try using a different DNS like 1.1.1.1 and see if that helps
