Hey, my 4th grade teacher had an outback for 15 years. I think yours can last another few years.

Australia.

But US guys can start to import them (1989 model currently) AFAIK.

Not sure on the exact procedure but have seen the info floating around on various forums :)

Yeah, aussies always get the cool stuff. We can't get stuff, like Silvias, Skylines, RHD Integras, Civics, etc. Why you Aussies so lucky to have this stuff?

As much as I personally like American Muscle (in particular the current and future Mustangs along with the Cadillac CTS-V and a lot of classic cars, like the older Camaros), I prefer what you refer to as ricers, despite my name. Like the following:

I drive 2011 VW GTi... It's my DD. Frankenturbo F23T /w custom Eurodyne dyno tune. I'm to lazy to write up all my mods though. a9e7y3as.jpga2umeja5.jpgy4abe4e6.jpg

Yeah I was looking into one of those, how well do they drive and perform.

Well my car is far from stock mechanically but nonetheless it's a very nice refined ride! In stock perform 200hp may seem slow but it's no slouch, just give it a test drive, it's goal is to be an all around great ride.

Have you tried reducing boost and adding more timing instead? Ofcourse given your intercooler will handle it.

Thanks man. Reducing boost can surely help charge temps, but I like the current state. My advance is already quite aggressive off-boost, by the way.

I have to get a bigger aftercooler, and maybe use a different turbo if I'm gonna push higher. The one I have gets quite inefficient at higher pressures, which is why I get much higher intake temps with just a few psi increase (after the aftercooler heatsoaks). I'm pretty happy with the result though.

First car:

Anyone that gets this is amazing.

I think there is some dispute between whether it was Daimler or Peugeot that built the first car,  Richard Trevithick definitely built the first practical powered wheeled vehicle though.

IK. Especially CA. Their laws are soo strict on emissions even open air intakes are regulated harshly.

Mind explaining for us non-'muricans? I'm just curious.

In order for a car to be imported into America, it either has to be 1) at least 25 years old, or 2) brought up to state emissions. I plan on importing an R34, but since it's not even close to 25 years old, And since emissions standards in Japan are totally different from US standards, changing emission standards is totally out of the question.

Thanks for clearing some things out.

25 years old at least? Why? I see that as a kinda weird law, and I believe it must suck for you who are planning on importing.

IK, The government is being a big fat bitch for these dumbass laws. I mean, 25 years? It's not like some imported car younger than 25 years has some kind of nuclear bomb or something. Geez, give it a fucking break, government.

If you could cope with some other bullsh*t laws, and could bother learning a new language, move to Germany, and you can drive on over half of the autobahn without speed limits...

Too bad it only applies to Germany...

This is not my exact car, but mine looks the same as this one, E36 328i coupe. Is cheap and very nice to drive.

If a car has an inline 6 then it's to my preference with the smoothness that brings.
