the psu should be barely audible. most corsair fans are pretty loud at stock.

What sort of noise? Grinding noise, like it's hitting something, etc? It does not have a semi passive mode, if that's what you were expecting

its really not a case fan noise, it comes from the PSU i can ear it from the PSU exhaust its like a little VRRRRRRRRRRRR barely audible but i want a compltely silent build, i know seasonic/corsair make zero db psu but i cant afford one for now and for a Tier A PSU, claimed by the community as an very great PSU, loud fan is not that great

Can you hear it when it is in normal use? Or is it a feature when you put your ear next to the psu?

Ok then it really is annoying. No need to ramp the fan up that high in idle usage where 400-500rpm would be more than enough.

i have a question, can the noise comes from an other component of the PSU than the fan, more i listen to it and more its like little coil whine hidden by the fan that circulates air, i ask that because my Motherboard is deffective (coil whine) can it be linked ? Forget that i put a little plastic stick in the PSU to stop the fan (DONT DO THIS AT HOME ITS VERY DUMB) and when the fan stop spinning the noise dissapear so its confirmed that is a fan noise so i will return the PSU, thanks for the help

Does that sound come out as soon as you turn on the PSU?

I'm having this exact same issue it's really annoying. I bought mine off Amazon and I know its the PSU fan as well. It only happens when I stand the case up. If I put it laying down it doesn't happen but I'm not leaving my computer laying down taking up my whole desk :(

What are you doing and or done to get it fixed? Were you able to get a refund or a replacement?

My amazon return date is in 23 hours so if you can get back to me that'll be awesome :D

I wasn't able to build my computer until tonight because I was waiting for my rtx 3060 ti because I pre ordered it and also my motherboard because I got sent a faulty one and had to buy another one of the same model.

I also bought this PSU because of the rating from the same post you were talking about on these forums.

hey

same issue with (MSI A750GF)...

have you got any replacement, is it somehow solved?

I've sent mine to RMA ang got replacement as brand new but haven't tried it yet because I'm afraid to have same issue, lays sealed on the shelf 😄

while its unpacked I can return my money or exchange it to something else like (Corsair RM750x - 2021 Edition)

is it bad luck or MSI made PSU with doomed fan, can someone else share experience with this product

Hey, just built a new system with the A750GF version less than 2 months ago and I'm noticing the same noise now. Was looking for info regarding it and found this forum. Thought I just bought a bad unit but seems it's common.

I have same issue with MSI MAG A550BN I'm attach fan sound audio file

I contacted the authorized seller where I bought the product and they asked me to send the product for checking. I am afraid that they will send the product back to me saying that there is no problem with the product, or I think that the same problem will continue even if they replace the product with a new product.
I contacted MSI global and explained the situation, but they said return the product directly without any comment.

Hi! I have the very same PSU and it creates a similar noise to yours, I wouldnt really worry about it, I am guessing its just the way the fan operates, I used to have a CM Psu and it was way more audible.
