Japanese ones? I'm not sure about those, but I know the Korean ones are decent. Nothing special, but pretty good.

not worth it
you get dead pixels often and the warranty/return policy does not account for the dead pixels

then youre stuck with a bunch of dots on your screen

Never bought one, but some of the sellers on eBay and Amazon claim to offer a return policy for dead pixels.

Some have limited connectivity though either DVI or DP not both which is kind of annoying.

I hate how this forum always puts down these monitors yet none of them have ever even seen one..I have had mine running at 120hz for 12 months now with ZERO issues and ZERO dead pixels..I belong to the Official Korean monitor club on OC.net and there isnt really that many issues with these..I  mean yes you can get a bad one but its not like the post before who make it seem like they are all screwed up..

Feels good running my 1440p at 120hz with 7MS input lag for $280..And yes thats twice the HZ of a brand name 1440p with a third the input lag all for half the price..HAHA Suckers!

I Just bought 2 of the QNIX QX2710 Evolution II 27" 2560 X 1440 monitors and they arrived today. If you keep in touch with me, when my monitor arms come in on Tuesday i will be able to tell you if they are worth it or not. I bought the Perfect Pixel versions. So we will just have to see

I've heard they can be good but it is a risky purchase. Their QA isn't the best but if you get a working one you're getting a very good product at a very comfortable price.

I bought the Crossover 27Q about 6 months ago and I absolutely love it. You may get one or two dead pixels like other people mention but people I've spoken to who have cannot notice it one bit. Personally, mine came without any dead pixels and didn't even bother with the "perfect pixel" version. So yeah I really recommend them, will save you a good couple hundred pounds or more!

You have a better chance getting a BAD Dell 2713HM like 3 times then getting a bad Qnix..But Dell has a better warranty but in one post on here two members went through 7 2713HMs before they got a good one..And Multi input monitors have triple the input lag..Did i mention these OC?lol

And if you are in the US you can get squaretrade warranty on it..I can break my monitor today and get a full refund..After 30 days dealing with dell they start sending refurbished monitors to you..Once again me and @ have these monitors with zero issues..And @GoodBytes probably has never even seen one except on youtube lol.

If you wanna pay more for more input lag and less HZ then be my guest..Some people like name brand stuff evemn though its not as good..I mean look at the IPhone lol..Hey GoodBytes do you have a IPhone?

These monitors look awesome, might need to start saving more money!

Personally rather spend a little more and go for a more well known brand, but if you really want one, there not tooo bad I don't think

I think that is not true. The chances of faulty monitors from Dell, is slim to none. It could happen, it does, but it's extremely rare. Where I used to work as IT, I opened hundred of Dell monitors (U2313HM - the supposed 'super faulty ones'), and only 1 had an issue, and even then. It's noticeable when I nit pick it, and compared it side by side with another of the exact same monitor. Else then that, I would have just say: it's an entry level IPS panel.

Yes, they are people on the internet buy 200$ branded IPS monitor, and expect to match their 5000$ EIZO/NEC professional grade monitor sitting next to it, but what can you do.

And the low input lag is 100% false.

In depth monitor review site like TFTCentral has shown that these eBay Korean monitor (which all use pretty much the same internal circuit as you can see, as they all share the exact same on screen menu), have an ~20ms input lag, while other monitor from Dell, or other brands can have near 0ms, despite multiple input.

In addition, many of these eBay Korean monitor only have a few brightness setting as adjustability, OR worst, it plays with the contrast or brightness via hardware emulation to dim the screen. So you play with the colors intensity, but the back light remains full lit.

Achieva: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/achieva_27_ips-zero-g.htm - over 22ms input lag

Compared to:

Dell U2414H: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2414h.htm - near 0ms

More examples?

EIZO FS2333: http://www.prad.de/en/monitore/review/2012/review-eizo-foris-fs2333-bk-part11.html#Conclusion - near 0ms input lag

Dell P2414H: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2414h.htm - near 0ms input lag.

Dell U3014: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u3014.htm - ~1ms input lag.

Finally, how can you overclock anything? Dual-link DVI max resolution is: 2560x1600 at 60Hz.

sure you can go a bit over 60Hz as the resolution is lower, being 2560x1440, but anything after, you start getting frames being dropped.

You can test this with this tool: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1423433

So claiming 120Hz on a 2560x1440 is a lie. Not to mention that you'll get reduce response time like effect, as the LCD liquid can't catch up to the frames.

When the Qnix or Xstar is OCed to 96HZ it is a 7ms input lag..Also the gentlemen who made this site and lightboost stats that these OCed 1440p monitors have only 10 percent more motion blur then a regular 1080 120hz tn panel without lightboost..And no all Korean monitors are not the same as the Crossover has least input lag..And you been stating for a year that they aren't 120hz lol.It is not as smooth as a 120hz tn panel but you really can't tell any difference..But i had a Asus 120hz tn panel and this OCed korean at 120hz and i saw a lil more blur but i sold the ASUS..

Maybe actually game on one of monitors and not just read about them from a website that told you the Viewsonic 1440p was a LG panel and not a Samsung haha..I can read about motorcycle's  all the time but don't mean i can really know anything tell i try them..I mean you must see for yourself unless you wanna live through a website..

I read books but I don't pretend i am a wizard!haha..

And Dual link DVI runs it fine but the GPUs have a MHZ cap so you gotta patch them..But i am sure you knew that..

Go read through here please..I mean you don't even know how to OC a monitor yet you talk like you know anything about these Korean Panels..

http://www.monitortests.com/forum/

Go read here again if you want as these guys all own these monitors..And by the way your website also stats that these use PWM backlighting..Idiots haha

My mom says i am a nice polite angel but as you know i am really kinda an ASS.. :D

Oh now we are going with "YOU can't see", instead of saying as before, as there wasn't. Change of story.

Then what you are saying is completely subjective.

However, you seam to know about than the DVI than the engineers at Digital Display Working Group that worked on it. Because clearly Intel, IBM, Silicon Image, and others from the group knows nothing about it. Right.
