hopefully they dont stop the 3000 series production of lower end cards 😞 inflate prices and how will AMD do too? while intel could produce more lower end stuff? (own production and newer generations + software updates)

Yeah those look like custom, made to be in the tube.

Well some times its fun to launch at other degrees.

or you launch into the wind so it comeback to you when parachute depolys.

also that is a tripod, I would use a tripod more than a normal stand, a normal stand sucks to put up also harder to get it to be even.

Yeah it bassically a TOW.

I will say putting expolsives into the noose cone can and will make that rocket very unstable

Balance.  Explosives are heavy.  Batteries will have the same problem though.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

They don’t dare.  Intel’s driver problems could just go away in a month or two… or not. If they do, Intel will eat their lunch.  All of it. Either way intel would love it.  One more example of how that judicial opinion was BS.

Lithium isn’t very mass heavy. Makes a decent incendiary though. Low mass explosives.  Makes me think about FAE.  This one has probably been thought about a lot for a long time.

I know of two people that have been killed by them.  The deal was there was an old style not very energy dense battery that didn’t fail very energetically it was possible to do casing containment with it. Old style mech ecig mods were often the casing.  New more energetic batteries came out in the same size and the factory that made the old ones burned down so people started putting new batteries in systems that could not safely contain them.  The result was much like a small incindiary grenade.  One guy bled out from a laceration because a piece of the ruptured case flew something like 10 feet and hit him, the other guy burned to death inside a car.

It’s pretty hard to make an 18650 explode (they generally aren’t LiPos btw NiMh is more common) it’s very slow compared to some explosives.  Black powder is that way too.  You have to collect the pressure and then release it all at once.  A wooden keg works. So does a hole in the ground. Most of the battery chemistries are more stable than LiPo.  LiPo is unusually energy dense and cheap at the same time.  It’s also one of the least stable.  It needs continuous management to keep it safe.  This is generally done with a tiny pcb attached to the batter or through the electronic device it is put in.  This is why I view wireless earphones as tiny incindiary bombs that will be either recycled or explode.  Eventually.

I have exploded phone batteries by puncture.

But I think the ecig is they dont have voltage protection.

Some do. Now. It wasn’t always the case.  That’s a 650.  I had one of those go on me once.  It was long ago though and one of those “safer” batteries so all I got was a scorched pocket, a red mark on my thigh and my mod wasn’t good for much afterward. That thing was really hot.  The battery was Boiling black goo. The one in my hand is regulated and temperature controlled.  I don’t throw away any of my dead batteries.  I keep them in a box to be recycled.  The old ones can be made safer by drilling holes in them so the gas can escape.

Yeah there’s a mess of different chemistries. You can still get NiMh though.  They’ll explode too of course if treated in the right way.  Called “uncontrolled thermal runaway”. Looking through my box of dead soldiers..BA3FC1B7-9A89-4505-9EDB-644577864772.thumb.jpeg.60cb4821294720a732303eae907a40dd.jpeg

That vapecell one is an IFR I bought by mistake and can’t charge.  It’s about half full I suspect.  All the others should be empty or nearly so. Yup.  Holds 650 mAH. That’s also why their contacts are hollow on one side.  Gas releases through the hole and no boom. Just a fwzzzzzzz.  If it works.  LiPo Bag batteries don’t have those.  They have the bag which is supposed to expand.
