Youtubers Recieving The 3080

Nubsical

Hey guys so i just have a quick question. So how do youtubers (Bitwit, Jayz2Cents) recieve the 3080 graphics card. I mean like was it sent from Nvidia themselves? Because i feel Nvidia wouldn't do that.

Yes

Why? They give reviewers samples so they can run their tests and do their reviews. Make projects and basically give them free advertising.

yeah why would nvidia send parts early to tech review companies that specialize in doing free advertising for nvidia just prior to the card being for sale to the people that those companies have the ear and trust of?

Umm... huh?! Is this your first day on the tech industry internet?! OF COURSE manufacturers send out early review samples to the media and reviewers...

Influencers are called influencers for a reason.  Getting your card to tech reviewers is just another form of marketing.

To me it feels kinda ironic as I specifically remember Jayztwocents saying that they, influencers, only get the information as soon as we do or something like that and the next day he has a 3080.

It's one of the ironic things about fame and/or having "influence", that being those who don't need financial freebies are the ones who get them.

Think millionaire movie stars who don't have to pay for clothes or You Tubers who don't have to pay for graphics cards...and new cpu...and new monitors...and...you get the idea.

Still, good luck to them...don't hate the player.

If you're a software developer, they'll probably give it to you if you ask them. NeatVideo has had their testing article on 3080 up on Sept 3rd, so they probably got it by Sept 1st.
