Suggestions for fans for Lancool 2 Mesh Performance

Jason 57

So I built my upgrade last night.

Since I need to order the Type C USB cable and SATA power splitter, I figured I would get a couple of fans as well.

RGB is NOT needed. (I have plenty from the GPU and the MB)

The case comes with a fan hub. I just need to read more I guess.

But why not ask everyone.

My 2020 Upgrade: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600; MB: MSI X570 Tomohawk WiFi; Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB 3600 MHz; Case: Lian Li Lancool II Mesh Performance; PSU: Corsair RM550X 80+ Gold; Storage: WD Blue 500GB SSD; Seagate 4TB Compute HDD; Monitor: GIGABYTE G34WQC 34" 144Hz Curved Gaming Monitor, 3440 x 1440 VA 1500R Display

Previous Components Still Using: GPU: MSI GTX 1070 (bought Used); Storage: WD 3TB Green HDD,WD 1TB Black HDD, SanDisk SSD PLUS 240GB

Previous Monitor I want to VESA mount: LG 29UB55-B 29" Ultrawide 1080p 60Hz IPS

Noctua makes great, silent fans. They also have a chrormax line if you dont want the standard beige colors.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Artic P12/P14's are a good budget option.

Noctua's and be quiet! fans are some of the best for noise-airflow.

I took a look at both on Amazon. Price isn't too bad.

I haven't seen these, I'll take a look on them.

So maybe I could ask one more question, Should I just fill out the case with as many fans as I can cram in there?

I have to check the fan hub and see how many it has room for.

I was thinking about airflow.

I figure, if I had all the spots filled, I would move the front 140MMs down as low as possible. Put 2 120MM on the PSU shroud and out 2 140MMs in the top.

That would give me the lowest airflow from the front and it wouldn't get sucked out before it even blows over the MB.

At the minimum, I would put in a 140MM in the back of the top and a 120MM in the front spot on the PSU shroud (that one might push around the GPU.).

I currently am not pushing anything to the limits yet. Heck, I would get a CPU cooler next. The Hyper 212 in Black goes with the minimalist color I have in the desk.

BTW, I meant NF-A12/14, already edited my post

You're going for 2 intake, 2 exaust and 2 on the psu shroud?

What's the difference between the A and the F models? I didn't read too heavily into them online. Well I should go to Nocuta's website and read up on them.

Well fully kitted out, it would be intaking 2 fans front and the 2 PSU shroud. Exhausting 1 back and 2 top.

I just talked with my daughter, and she wants me to not any just yet.

She recommended I do some heavy work loads, and see where thermals are first before adding more. (Saves me about $100USD for now.)

Basically airflow and static pressure differences
