Is it illegal to refuse to sell AMD product

So here in my country most hardware stores refuse to sell cpu as stand alone item he only accept to sell it if you're buy a gpu with it or if you're buying a motherboard and ram with it

So is this legal ? I need to buy cpu but stores refuse to. If I complain to AMD that the store refuse to sell their product can it help ?

First of all, why would it be illegal?

Second of all, how would we judge that without knowing your local laws?

I know where I live it's not illegal to only sell an item as a bundle. A CPU isn't a basic necessity, so you can't claim that either.

It's a free market after all.

Contact AMD to ask them what the qualified vendors are in your region.

Sounds like a retailer policy... shop somewhere else.

I frequently edit any posts you may quote; please check for anything I 'may' have added.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

I, certainly, ain't aware of any country where that would be illegal.

Only if the store is an official AMD-partner and even then it's unlikely.

It's not that easy here, out of 30 store I might only find one that will agree to sell cpu alone

Then you need to buy elsewhere.

It certainly sounds unethical, but illegal might be a stretch...
