The return of Kepler (yes really) ASUS relaunching the GT710

Arika

I mean I do get the point of bottom of the barrel GPUs that actually are dirt cheap as long as CPUs that do not come with integrated GPUs exist...
Heck I have one that I use to diagnose potential GPU issues with. Got it on craigslist for $15.

But... Anyone have a price history on 710s? and 1030s?
Cause they are going for $50 and $100 respectively and I seriously hope thats just COVID causing price spikes.

I have an Nvidia 950 that I keep stored in a drawer in the event that I sell, buy a new, or RMA the graphics card I have in my day to day system. So that I can still "use" the computer for web browsing and work while I wait on my proper GPU to arrive. In a scenario like this I could imagine a handful of enthusiasts who would appreciate a very cheap graphics card for the sake of being able to use their PC while they wait on the arrival of a RMA or new GPU.

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Is this targeted toward digital signage and kiosks where there's multiple displays from a single computer?

You might be shocked what a GTX 950 can run well enough to be playable.

That is interesting... and funny at the same time that ASUS is relaunching the GT710, the only people that I could possibly see purchasing, and implementing this card into a system, would be companies that want to  have their desktop computers using multiple displays, in per se a security office... but that was the first thing that came to mind because no one is going to using these for gaming because the next generation cards are coming out soon. So this just makes no sense, but as I said interesting at the same time.

I did a little bit of web searching, and I couldn't find a price history of these two cards, but with the GT 1030, and the GT710 the go for around the prices that you were saying, but I'm sure on Ebay you could find these cards 'second-hand' for somewhat less expensive.. if you do some digging around of course. But we'll just have to see what happens when the stock market goes back to normal, and prices also go back to normal after this pandemic.

The fact that this is 1x makes it INCREDIBLY useful. I will be buying one for sure.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Wall Of Fame (Informative people/People I like): @Glenwing @DrMacintosh @Schnoz @TempestCatto @LogicalDrm @Dan Castellaneta

This model alone probably makes Nvidia more profit than the whole rtx2000 series.

It is one of the best selling gpus in the world, specially third world countries
