No, I have always given my computers car names and I just so happen to own a 2013 Turbo, but am looking at a 2020 VelosterN

Interesting choices, I haven't actually driven the Velosters!  I considered a 500 Abarth for a while, but I'm still living in the pre-OBDII era and loving it.  Big turbo S4, mmm.

What's your general take on them?

R5 3600, 5700 XT, AX370 K7...  and that's plenty for me.  If you ignore the masses of other parts I occasionally put together and laugh about.

So they have!  Total of over 4mil, wow, maybe the 1.4kW of power is actually worth it!  🤣

I love my go-kart as my kids call it. Not the fastest car I've owned but its quick. Now the VelosterN, that thing rips!

Oh for crying out load. This WU Project: 11777 (Run 0, Clone 24544, Gen 2) keeps hanging my RX480. Hasn't gotten past 0% complete.

Sorry, the heat being thrown from the computer compounded by the lack of ability to play anything so I can reach the 500k minimum (daily cause i cant read;)) is responsible for my lapse in off topic posts.

It's fine, just if anyone pops in for folding shit don't want them turned off with all the car talk and all. I know I would do so myself if I went somewhere for folding advice and just saw a page or two of cars. Just don't want it to take over, some off topic here and there is fine mind you.

I have a Lenovo S30 box laying around that just needs RAM, it's got a Quadro K600 & E5-1620.  I'm not likely to use it any time soon.

But I don't know how I'd get it to Canada, lol.

Holy crap! I didn't know you were serious! lol

I barely get to drive my own cars anymore, I would LOVE it if someone can put my old hardware to good use.  I'm basically a packrat, I keep everything for no reason, so if you'll use it, you're better than me.

I got a CPU work unit in the Vega56 box, that's been uncommon so far. It completed substantially faster than expected as well, estimated 2.4 days but finished in under an hour. Back to waiting on work again! The RX580 is getting work regularly just not often, but it seems to be better the last day or two.

I'm seeing CPU WUs pretty consistently. At most I have to wait half an hour before another WU comes along.

And, god damn, my old T500 has been chugging away for the last few hours at 100% CPU usage and it hasn't gone over 70C or throttled at all.

The first estimate is usually way off, from what I've found at least.

I've seen an estimate of 20 days before, but it will go down after a few minutes.

What CPU are you running?  I have an 1100T feeding my Vega 56.  I should really swap it for my 7970 since the E5-1620 gets a better PPD with more cores lol.

And there is goes the contribution of my GT 1030 pushig me almost to 90k. I think what that machine earned some rest for the night while the rest of the CPU machines doing their thing :) (tomorrow will be above 100k, not bad for my old computers)

Learned so much so far and so fun! Will be ready to not miss the next event like happened with this one screwing over my first folding/username.

BTW... if anybody near Argentina want to send me some computers parts, I could be happy ;)

Just had to remove the RX480 from the 'fold' as it has been getting WU after WU that hangs, never going past 0%

Forget near, what do you need? I'm flush with old parts.  I can't guarantee I have what you're looking for, but if it doesn't overlap with a use case I have, I can supply.

2700X, have 6 cores set for folding work leaving 1 core for GPU feed and 1 core for running whatever I'm doing. In reality Windows balances it all out. No OC past PBO XFR stuff, running about 4.1ghz at 1.2-1.3 volts on 6 cores active folding. I'd rather get GPU work units since it's way more efficient.

Hey! Well... I don`t have pretty much anything regarding video cards for example, no kidding that GT 1030 is the biggest thing I have. But 2 A.M. over here and I have to wake up early (even with the lockdown, we have my grandmother and she needs care), tomorrow I can send you the specs of my current computers :)
