Motherboards won’t display video output

lachietg

I have 3 gigabyte motherboards and none of them are working, I have 3 different video cards  5 cpus and 5 ram sticks and I have tried all different combinations and I can’t get any of them to work

they are all lga 775 boards with ddr2 ram (a bit old I know)

and help would be  appreciated :)

edit:the motherboards are

Define “work” to start.
Well of the 3 I see only one of them seems to be plugged into anything.  I’m assuming that one doesn’t work either though.  That particular board is dual channel only I think considering the coloring of the ram ports.  You might be able to get it to work if you used 2 ram sticks in the yellow slots.  Also the PSU might not actually be functional.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

and you of course wouldnt want us to know what cpu or gpu's you are trying correct? nor what motherboards these are

Was that a reply to my statement?  If so none of those things apply.

1: does the PSU actually work correctly?  There seems to be only one of those.  If it doesn’t work nothing else will.

2: dual channel memory slots.  They’re different colors on purpose.

3: haven’t even gotten to monitors yet.  “Doesn’t work means doesn’t power up”. If it does power up but doesn’t post that’s a different thing.

It was.  So we got power on.  You got a manual for those boards?  I see they’re all subtly different.  Argh.  The look identical in the photo.  Do any of them at lest have error light codes or a debug readout?

You’re going to need 3 manuals.  One for each board.  They’re all different.  There’s going to be a debug procedure for each of them. All different.  Hopefully somewhat similar because it’s the same manufacturer.  No promises.  Manuals are downloadable from the gigabyte website.

figure out which one has the most feedback data (lights, sounds, whatever) and do that one first.  That there are no known good parts makes this a version of hell.  Every part is going to have to be tried in every combination on every board every time, and if all three possible parts of any one type are all bad, there’s no way to learn anything.  The evil is outlandish.  I’m glad I’m not doing it.

bright side is once we get one going there will be a way to find known good parts and it will go much faster.

Have you tried resetting the CMOS?

Yes I have been transferring the battery, and I know the battery is good because it measured 2,7 volts in my multimeter

Try replacing it anyway. It's the only thing between the three that's constant.

This, they should be 3V's so at 2.7V it's likely dead,  in fact they can die reading 3V because of the type of cell they are and the load on them.
