I recently did a new build and got a new skhynix SSD for a fresh windows 10 install. every thing works great except for the fact that whenever I boot I get the "operating system not found, try disconnecting any drives that don't have an OS installed" well that worked which is great, except for the fact that I cannot boot with my other drives connected. All drives show in BIOS (which I updated in an attempt to fix the issue) for my mobo (Gigabyte B365M DS3H). Everything I've found online is advice for people that just cannot boot at all, however the disconnecting drives does work for me an

Hey guys, I just tried to test my build but the powerswitch didnt work. I tried to jump the pins and made sure I got the right ones but the PC wouldnt start. The only thing working is an orange LED strip lighting up when I turn on the powersupply (which should be normal). I got the build from a guy in a german tech forum. I swapped the motherboard because I ran into some compatibility issues because the former motherboard needed a flash update to work with the cpu and I couldnt install it without a spare cpu. With the old board the power switch and all fans worked but it didnt post

Hello all. I know quite a bit about PC hardware but I'm in a pickle here. My MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB GAMING X, bought in December, runs at 83C 1800RPM. This is too high correct? Case: Meshfy C stock with extra Corsair fan. Those are spinning properly. Should I tighten the mounting screws on the back? There is a void warranty sticker but I'm pretty sure it's not applicable here. Without dissasembling the card I'd like to fix this high RPM. https://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/msi-radeon-rx-5700-xt-gaming-x-review,11.html

I recently swapped cases from a Corsair Carbide 275r to the NZXT H1. The only thing i bought new was an itx motherboard. I was stress-testing the GPU when the monitor went black and my pc turned off. Now, as soon as I power up the pc, the fans start spinning for 1 second then immediately turn off, and then the PSU won't turn back on until I unplug it from the wall and plug it back in. I tried reseeding everything but it still wouldn't work, and I tried to see if the PSU would turn on if I short pins 4 & 5 on the PSU, but it still wouldn't work. But when I tested the other parts to see if t

So, Recently I bought the Lian Li x Razer RGB PC case. I transferred my old system into it, and with the instruction manual came a razer promotional that claimed that the case's RGB could be controlled via Razer Synapse. Unfortunately, my Razer Synapse is not detecting the case, meaning I can't control the RGB functionalities. Also unfortunately, there is little to no information regarding this topic that I could find online. Any input and help would be very much appreciated; perhaps there is a certain cable I am needing to plug in?

Hey everyone, A little over a year ago I got the MSI RTX 2060 gaming Z to pair with my Ryzen 5 2600. Initially, the card worked very well for gaming at 1440p with temperatures never exceeding 68 degrees and fans basically being inaudible (around 40% RPM). This was under heavy loads such as DOOM 2016 running maxed out without a frame limiter and seems to be in line with what reviewers experienced for the same card. However lately the card has been running differently with temperatures staying around 75 degrees during load as well as fans revving and becoming very audible (>70% fa

Hello community, I am gracefully asking for help. HELPPPPP!!! I recently bought 2x 16G DDR4 2666mhz vengence LPX ram sticks to upgrade my old aurora R6. In bios I cannot acces anything in my perfomance tab and my memory is only runnung at 2133mhz. I have the base I5 7400 from intel (not overclockable). From the specs, here below, I should be able to run these speeds. What should I do? I am just starting as a computer enthusiast and english is not my first language so sorry if I am not clear. Thank you in advance for all the help!

I don't want to say I'm regretting my purchase due to how rough this market is right now, but I'm coming from an Nvidia card and I'm noticing quite a few weird behaviors in comparison. The main issue that's driving me crazy right now is in GTAV. The game will be playing great at over 100 FPS (Story mode) and suddenly performance will tank for around half a second. It looks as if the entire screen is frozen for a fraction of a second and then everything resumes as normal. This happens once every 2 or 3 minutes I'd say and I'm pulling my hair out trying to diagnose as I don't remember this

I've been having some issues with half life alyx that have been really destroying my enjoyability of the game. It's been leaving me dizzy and nauseous in a way that no other VR game ever has. The list of glitches include having my entire vision turn orange or grey for no reason at random times, and along with this comes my camera being detached from my head position, causing my vision to be stuck in a direction that my head is no longer pointed in, which is very disorienting. Additionally, I occasionally get an instance of severe lag during loading sequences during which one frame of the loadi

I have an ASUS Z170-K + i7 6700 and yesterday I overclocked the RAM memory to make it work at 3000MHz (stock RAM frequency) because was capped at 2133MHz. I loaded the XMP preset profile with CPU at 1.35V, changed the PCIe speed from auto to Gen2 and disabled VTd. After that i rebooted and the American Megatrend BIOS appeared with "NO keyboard detected", and I noticed USB 3.0 devices were not recognized neither in BIOS nor in Windows, so i had to use mouse and keyboard in USB 2.0 ports. First I thought I broke the USB 3.0 controller, but then I reset the CMOS by t

Hey there, I have been running a dual monitor setup with two 1440p 144hz monitors for a while now and my third just came in yesterday. After setting it up I'm noticing what seem like frame drops or an intermittent stuttering. It is subtle so I'm guessing it happens once every two seconds. I notice this happens with streaming video from youtube and netflix and also while gaming. Anyone have any experience with this? I just checked Nvidia experience and I seem to have the latest drivers. This seems to happen on all monitors by the way.

In one of my games (Escape From Tarkov) the audio and video freeze every three or so seconds. It makes the game basically unplayable other than the menus. It doesn't happen on any other game, but none of my other games are as demanding. I checked all the game forums and no one seems to be having the same problem. I tried rebooting audio drivers and updating the motherboard drivers, but I found no real solution. Sometimes the problem will randomly disappear, but never for long. I'm wondering if it is my pc or monitor or of it's the game/server? Any tips are appreciated. My gpu is a 2080 super a

Hi! I was building a computer for a friend. Everything was going fine, but when I was going to put the graphics card on, i noticed I forgot to take out the brackers of the case in order to put the graphics card. When i was peeling the bracket off, I accidentally hit the motherboard, and i broke a little pin. It is near the audio, in the bottom left part of the motherboard. I tought it was not going to boot, but I tried and everything seemes to be working fine. I will test everything but my question is: If everything works fine, should I be worried about the satiblity and long term use o

Reddit couldnt help me so I thought Id come to the place that got me into pcs. Im going to cut to the chase, im having an issue with my new SSD and I have no clue how to fix this. PC stuff is kind of over my head. This is my first build after all. But that's not to say I didnt try to fix this on my own. To make a long story short, I got an all new computer I built myself, booted it in and everything and everything's working but this drive. I looked up on why its not showing up but and the first thing was that it might be unallocated or it might not have a drive letter. The image I attac

Hello My chassis is the Asus ROG Strix Helios, I've tried connecting the RGB connector to the core-responding RGB header on my motherboard. Later I tried connecting it to the exact same RGB header on my Aura Sync terminal. All of my Aura Sync-compatible device all work and are registered in both of the lighting software, except my case. What mistakes am I making? Any advice is helpful, thank you.

So I upgraded from an i3-3220 to a i5-3470, checked all compatibility and it is actually a model available as a step up from my model. So I make the change with no issues, it boots and makes it past sign in, and then I try to open steam. I get wsock32.dll errors with steam and many other programs, I try multiple fixes that don't help. I come to the conclusion based off the info I found that it was a corruption of windows itself and have to reset the computer. What do you think the possible issue is?

I'm having a problem where running seus shaders with a x512 resource pack is nearly impossible. I have 32gb of ram and it uses 31 and crashes my game everytime I switch shaders. I've tried deleting everything and reinstalling, lowering settings, even the resolution. Nothing seems to work. My pc specs are rtx 3070, ryzen 5 3600x, 32gb ram at 2666mhz. Any help would be really appreciated, I feel stuck
