What is the coolest car you have ever driven?

ericlee30

I was looking at old pics of my family pics and started going down memory lane :)

My father let me drive his Nitro injected dragster when I was 16 to get my NHRA license.

10-8-2005-57_zps2918a230.jpg

To this day, it is the fastest car I have ever driven.

What is the fastest/coolest car you have ever drove? :)

Probably a Venturi Atlantique 300 , just for it's rareness: Edit: (Forgot to mention it was the bi turbo RHD version so there was only two ever made)

Venturi_300_Atlantique_3.4_front.jpg

But I have driven lot's of Porches, Ferraris, Aston Martins etc (just in and out of the car park ) in my last job.

WRC Subaru Impreza would be next on my list though, followed by a Renault Alpine then a Type 14 VW. I prefer unusual cars over speed.

I feel bad for posting this, but my own car.  Here are shots of a car that looks just like my own.

Everyone and their mother is driving around LA with a bmw, but NO one has a dart, it's the coolest looking compact car out there on the market, because it's designed to look great, not like a toaster you "settle" for because you can't afford to upgrade from the corolla to a Lexus (and so toyotas styling department says f*ck you)

I am impelled not to squeak like a grateful and frightened mouse, but to roar...

Jaguar XFR. pumps out 550 BHP from the super charged v8. This thing is crazy fast and corners real nice like. rides so smooth you dont realize you are doing 100MPH on the highway.

This is the one. A 1960s NSU 1200C now build as a Hill Climb racing car by my uncle. About 130BHP from a 4 cylinder 1300ccm aircooled (rearmounted) engine reving up to 9000rpm. Empty weight: 650Kg. Not the fastest in a straight line (one reason beeing that it has a short 4 speed hill gearbox) but in the corners...

I tell you, when he let me drive it on a closed slalom track last summer I was the luckiest man alife. Screaming along with the engine, feeling pure adrenaline floating trough your body and smiling like an idiot! Thats how you feel driving this litte monster. I just wish it never stopped and I am so happy my uncle trusted me and gave me the chance for the best drive in my life (so far, but at the age of 19 that was not bad I think ;-P).

If you want to see it in action you may take a look at his onboard videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/nsu1200c

I was driven in an LP570-4 Superleggera in Florida. I might drive a GT-R or a 458 Italia in a couple of years when I'm old enough to drive. Out of possible cars that might be the best ones I drive, A GT-R, Superlite Coupe, or an M3 (V8).
