So I have had a dog for the last like 9 years, and I don't get me wrong I love my dog but I for some reason have been thinking about getting a new (extra) pet, and something less ordinary. (Something like a turtle, lizard, etc.)

The problem is that I don't have a lot of space in my room for a big aquarium or cage or whatever you call it. I also can't take care of it between around 8am-4pm cos of school, chores and such.

So basically, what is a pet I could get that doesn't neet too much space, and can surivive half the day without taken care of. Suggestions?

snakes and lizards are about the easiest. ive had both for years. feed em once or twice a week top up their water every day or few days depending on your heat lamp and your good to go :)

Get a Llama. Or Alpaca.

If you get one with very fine hair you can sell it's wool for $7/oz or more.

Screw coin mining. Your mining machine doesn't love you back...and the llama won't be obsolete in a month.

Get a doge. Seriously. A shiba is not too large of a dog, is extremely affectionate (wow), but also behaves kind of like a cat in a way because it doesn't need to be constantly with someone to bond. Not to mention they have very little genetic problems, live for a long time compared to most other breeds and keep themselves quite clean. Seriously, who wouldn't want a doge?

Birds are not easy pets at all.. They are really annoying and unless you get a really small one they are actually a lot of work. A lot of them also go crazy if they don't have people around alot, and are overall a giant pain.. You have to commit to a bird pretty hardcore.

Maybe a spider, If you're into that? Perhaps a hermit crab too, they are pretty cool and don't require to much attention. I use to have a mouse when I was younger. I went away for afew days, come back home to find it had died of dehydration..and on that same day our rabbit broke it's neck. It got the lead court around it's neck and when it tried to move it snapped. We had it on that so it could roam around our yard but couldn't run away.

Pets aren't a commodity or a fad. They are a living creature that requires care and understanding. So probably don't get a new pet if you just are bored of the dog or because you want something exotic. Perhaps take the dog for a walk every night after school, I'm sure he/she would love that. It is ofcourse entirely your choice.

I walk my dog everyday.....
