I’ve been seeing more of these in my logs. Eventually they get through. I suspect the servers are just busy and possibly the last few are being upgraded to the new application which can slow things down.

You have to take an average over at least a day, preferably 3 or more, to get a accurate value due to the variability in WUs. The fastest stable clock i’ve Managed to run in 2055 on a 2070 (Super or non Super). I haven’t had time to profile my Supers yet using FAHBench but hope to do so this weekend but we’re talking Silicone Lottery here north of 2025MHz.

 

Temperatures get tricky under air with dual slot setups. Usually the upper slot runs hotter due to sucking the exhaust of the lower card. Try running the lower card’s Fans a little higher to see if the upper card runs a little cooler, and hence boosts higher. I tend to run the card with the most core in the lower slots because of this behaviour.

I've got the 2070 super on the top slot

the 1070ti Strix two slots down. 

the top card is around 2c hotter which isnt too bad

 

Its in a small box room so the room temps do get higher during the day if i have the door closed. 

max is around 70c

 

Looking at my history 

you can see around 800k for the 1070ti and then around 1.8/1.9 when I got the 2070 Super.  I was just shy of 2m on a couple of days

I had some problems getting WUs yesterday, today it looks like everything is working as it should. That said I had following on my logs today: "ERROR:WU01:FS01:Exception: Server did not assign work unit" so there might be something with servers maybe updates. In my case client switched to another server and it got WU to download.

I've been seeing more of those recently. I noticed one rig was stuck "Downloading ..." this morning when I left for work and had to restart it to get it folding again.

 

Hopefully they'll have all the servers updated before the Folding Month starts so we won't have to monitor our rigs so closely.

That 2070 Super with the 1070 Ti still should be capable of performing better. I'd expect 2MPPD to 2.25MPPD. Take a look in GPUZ/Afterburner/Precision Pro and see if it is throttling due to a Power cap, Voltage or Temp.

 

Is the lower slot on the PCH or the CPU and how many lanes does it have? The 2070 might be starving for Bus throughput.

Personally I'm not super into the Vector RS. It's essentially a Re-paneled Define R6 (the interior is EXACTLY the same) which makes it look like a Corsair SPEC Omega with all the angles.

I have the Asus Strix Z270H Gaming motherboard with an i7 7700k

 

2070 Super on top slot 

1070ti on 2nd slot

 

 

these run at 8x / 8x i Believe - so must be CPU?

Yes, it should be in x8/x8 mode (GPUZ will show you the connection width also)

 

2010 MHz for the 1070 Ti is a nice clock speed and the thermals look good.

The Asus software is naming both cards as 1070ti for some odd reason lol

Strix GTX1070ti - is the 2070 Super

GTX1070ti - is the Strix 1070 Ti lol

 

The 2070 Super is at +99 actually

 

they are both running x8 mode according to GPU Z

LOL - It's probably the ROG skinned version of Afterburner needs updating.

 

The WiFi on the x1 should be fed from the PCH not the CPU so it should be OK though I suspect it's probably getting a tad toasty

It'll be moving it back down after the event when I remove the 1070ti

 

Anything else I can check to see how I can get more out of it?
