Graphics API's like OpenGL, DirectX and Mantle.

They are being mentioned and shown off a lot recently with DX12 and Mantle but there are people who don't know what they actually are, how they are implemented in games and how the graphics card supports them.

What are APIs (DirectX, Mantle etc.) ...??....we people know about that stuff but there are lot others who dont have any clue about the gpu technologies that the gpu they are shopping has...

Ha, didnt see this but yeah, seems like it's a good one to go for .

As a follow up to the PSU buying guide, a in-depth look at all the certifications that a power supply should have. Going beyond 80 Plus, into things like OVP, UVP and the like.

Are Linus's favourite fans really better than Akasa's Viper series (i.e. are Akasa's claims as to their fans performance fraudulent)?

Have they really achieved an R&D miracle with the warbucks earned as suppliers of fans to the American military or (in terms of the performance of their Viper series), are their claims bogus?

Do Vipers really outperform Noctua in terms of airflow & pressure per decibel and with a fan note/tone/pitch that doesn't give you a headache, or would the evidence of an independent comparison test break my heart as an Akasa Viper fan-boy (apologies for the pun)  ;)

A brief summary of my findings re. P.C. case fans: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/139064-are-these-quiet-fans/#entry1857042

Another suggestion:

Fans; bearing types (sleeved etc) and static pressure vs airflow.

Video quality and bitrates! :)

i have a tons of friends who thinks a 1080p movie with 1700 kbits is fantastic because its only 1.5gb and the quality is outstandig(cause of the many pixels), and i would love to throw a video at them and say "listen to him, he know what he's talking about and is a great teacher!!" :D

Nvidia Graphics cards specifying CUDA cores _OR_ OpenGL version support. Which is better for gaming? Which is better for 3D modelling/rendering? (Unfortunately in the position where I do both)
Nvidia specify CUDA cores on their website, but that information disappears when OpenGL version support is listed. Are the two mutually exclusive?

Power supply voltage, what is a 12v rail? I don't know! I want to know!

Also, if you do this, please make a pun about knowledge being power and PSU's supplying power. It would make my life come full circle.

New ultimate quiet fan...?

The new Aerocool DS Dead Silent reportedly blows everything else out of the water (including the Viper etc.)

4.56 cfm per dBa!!!  :o  compared to the 120mm Viper's 2.89 cfm/dBa

Can we see an explanation / verification / comparison?
