  1. 1. How do you configure your RGB peripherals?

    • Unicorn Vomit
      3
    • Cycle colours
      2
    • Match multiple colours
      8
    • One Specific colour
      14
    • Turn them off/Don't get RGB
      7

I've seen a weird number of people in my opinion keep their RGB devices basically in unicorm vomit mode rather than customizing it to what they want, that or they just turn that on for their pictures to show off that it is RGB.

So How have you configured your RGB devices if you have them?

My memory (TridentZ RGB) is on unicorn vomit mode, because I have been too lazy to download the customization program for it.

My motherboard and videocard are on 1 specific color.

My keyboard is on two specific colors (letters are one color, other stuff another color).

I don't really 'see' my PC, because it's behind my monitors now, but my keyboard is of course more in sight. My keyboard also has blank keycaps (translucent) so I can see more of its color.

The only RGB thing i have is my mouse, and the very small amount of RGB on it is covered by my hand. I dislike unicorn vomit, its tasteless. I dont like lighting of my periferals much even with static lights, my K70 has its red backlight off because it was distracting.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Literally no RGB whatsoever to speak of

My case is about as boring as a rectangular box you can find, the only visible lights are the blue LEDs on the power button.

The keyboard is a white-backlit Logitech G601, thats it. Does what it says on the tin

The G402 mouse is the only thing "remotely" close to RGB because of the breathing effect on the Logitech logo. But its blue only so  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

RGB = merchants jacking up the price a bit because A E S T H E T I C S, so yeah I guess monochrome is fine by me. ?‍♂️

Ive done all of it, I currently have it on one color, sometimes I set to cycle, sometimes it breathes and sometimes I let the unicorns puke everywhere, just depends on the day.

The internet is obsessed with RGB but somehow most of my clients have settled for performance over looks, which I think is pretty great because RGB software is one big headache.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

A lot of the software does feel slapped together.

I've always used RGB to get a very specific colour "Electric Indigo" or as close to it as I can get.

1 thing in my pc that is rgb, one 140mm fan on the front, gives a nice glow to that corner of the room (my pc is on the opposite side of my room to my monitors and keyboard and mouse, a good 10ft away)

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

My desk has this shelving at the top with a panel behind it.

Naturally, I've got an RGB strip here that illuminates the screen. It can look pretty good at times but I always forget that it's there so I never use it.

Whenever I do, it only lasts for a couple of minutes. I never have it on for the whole day or however long I'm on for as I just don't think it's necessary/ adds any real benefits (becomes a distraction IMO).

The cycling mode where it goes through all colors is nice when it changes at a slow speed which I can choose with the remote. I don't understand why you would want a disco by using any other mode but hey, maybe that's just not me..

static colour for sure.
