Okay so I have this weird issue where my SSD (Gaming SSD, not main SSD) does not load on startup of my PC. I then have to shut down my PC and switch it back on again then it will pick up.

Now the problem is, my SSD does get picked up under Disk Management, it just isn't initialized. But when I try to initialize it, it fails. So it does not seem like a power or connection problem because the SSD actually does get picked up. It just doesn't load or show under file explorer.

The other problem is when I switch on my PC and it loads super long to get past the BIOS screen, I know that the SSD did not get picked up. But a simple restart or shut down fixes this issue and it loads back in again?

Any ideas on what it can be? The event logs under the SSD shows something about files that moved and there for couldn't load in?

just some ideas :

When installing Windows I have only one drive connected to avoid mix ups with other other drives, did you do that ?

What happens when you disconnect all drives but the OS ?

It seems your OS is on a 128GB 2.5" SSD, I have my OS on my fastest drive (M.2 NVMe).

I'd probably do a clean install if I were you.

If you don't quote us, we won't know you answered
