Meh, doesn't seem that impressive. You can get along way by just

  • choosing a good ITX case that has lots of ventilation
  • undervolting CPU and GPU
  • putting in noctua fans
  • And most importantly, setup your own custom fanprofile using sophisticated utilities as Argus or Speedfan

Though as noted in the video, once you reach that inaudible level, coilwhine takes over.

A true fanless setup:

CPU cooler: Thermalright HR22 (95W)

GPU cooler: Arctic Accelero S3 (200W)

PSU: Seasonic Prime 600 Titanium Fanless

And the price will be the same ?

At least, my Ncase with all-noctua aircooling cooling set-up (in Europe) cost me pretty much the same, 440 euros (and became my files server now ?)

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - Asrock AB350 ITX - 64GB DDR4-3600MHz - Geforce GTX 1080 - Samsung 960Pro - Monsterlabo's "The First" - Corsair SF450

Nah, I think I only paid a third of that. 2x NF-F12, 1x NF-A14, and 2x NF-A9x14's for the GTX 1080 ghetto mod. Especially the ghetto mod did wonders, AIB fan designs are shit compared to noctua's efficiency.

Well?

I got the case for 250 (a bit more)

4x NA-A12x25 fans (two to replace graphic card fans and two on side bracket (or maybe one was slim 15mm <.<)), and they are 30/per fan

1x NH-L12s

1x 92mm fan on back

And still, was about to buy accelero III to switch gtx 1080 rad, because gpu was hot and fans became noisy under heavy load.

I just ghetto modded the EVGA 1080. Can just 800rpm them and stay sub 60 degrees, albeit with an undervolt (.925v)

TL;DW: MonsterLabo's first product "The First" is a PC case and cooling solution that claims to be able to cool up to an Intel i9900k CPU and an RTX 2070 GPU, completely passively.

Features:

  • Minimal design
  • 2x USB 3.0 and Mic in/headphone out on top
  • Thorough compatibility list on the website, to meet the unique needs of the case design
  • Supports 3x 2.5" hard drives and 1x 3.5" hard drive
  • 140mm fan included in premium model, can be removed to use a full ATX power supply
  • Fully passive cooling is impressive, but not as good as a fan setup, temp-wise
  • With the 140mm fan running, temps are perfectly fine, and the case is still almost silent... from the fan. See downsides for the "not really"
  • Top cover panel can be removed for extra airflow (see the video, it's weird), which helps a lot with temps
  • Good power efficiency for cooling, allowing for high-end components to be paired up with the case/cooling

Downsides:

  • $420-$488 depending on model
  • Poor quality power button
  • Mobo I/O panel relies on passthrough cables, only allowing 5 ports. Also poor quality panel.
  • Pre-launch non-prebuilt version did not have mounting holes in the DisplayPort cable, or included screws for the HDMI cable
  • Very weird case design with nonstandard mounting. No print/electronic manual - only an online video series
  • Compatibility list not 100% accurate - Encountered issues with included screws not being long enough for mounting a GPU that should have been compatible. Also did not give info on which bracket had to be used for the AMD AM4 socket - Had to ask customer service.
  • Modifications commonly needed, potentially using custom risers only available on the premium model (Check the compatibility list)
  • Heatpipes were blocked by the audio chipset on their test mobo, so the daughterboard had to be removed (Check the compatibility list)
  • Coil whine from the GPU is obnoxious due to its placement near the giant opening at the top

Conclusion: Only recommended in the very specific instance where you have a GPU that doesn't have coil whine issues, you're okay with higher than normal temps, and you REALLY want to have a 100% silent PC case. Otherwise, stay far away - The thing is a mess visually, is a pain to get working with components that it doesn't play nicely with, and cuts a ton of corners all over the place.
