How do you come up with your account name (for forum/ games characters etc)

I am lazy and wanted to use just one "name" for everything. but its not possible to occupy the desired name before everyone else.

I usually forgot what the logins are for some seldom uses/ something not important. say if I accidentally logged out here, I couldnt get back in and had to create a new account..

Even for game characters , I tend to use their original names / cast names. if not... it bugs me for a long time before getting into playing the games.

 

How do you come up with your iconic names?

When I first made my Xbox Live account, I clicked shuffle a few times untill it came up with this, plus a few xX...Xx and some random numbers, witch I ditched.

i use basically two names for everything (or some variant of them)

 

Arika is my IRL nickname based on my actual name, it's my go to name for offline/single player games

Sierra Fox is my online gaming/anonymous name where possible, been using Sierra as my online name since 2009ish, don't recall the origin of why i started using it and fox because i like foxes

My username is a combination of the first sound of 4 characters' names in one of my favourite anime (and I forgot what that anime is called :P)

Just randomly came up with it when I was like 6 yrs old. Bonus that it's rather unique so no one really takes it (except that one guy....)

It was a joke to some shit someone did.

 

So I changed my name to get in on the joke. And that's it been ever since.

Usually, my names end up having to do with whatever car I'm currently rocking that I particularly like or some anime character/anime related thing that I'm into.

 

Most of my user names aren't actually the same so I usually think of a new one when I join whatever. I think I made this one because I just couldn't come up with anything. Immediately after I made it, I realized calling myself a cute kitten probably wasn't the wisest thing since I'm a dude.

 

I think I only joined to ask a question or two and wasn't planning to stick around, so I wasn't too concerned about the name. Now that I've stuck around, I regret picking this name lol.

Me and my dad had just gotten Battlefield 1942 when I was about 5, and we had to come up with a username, but for some reason couldn't make two different ones.

He basically decided that we would mix my name "Adam" and "Man" because I was Adam, and he was The Man. It kinda just stuck after that when he automatically made that my username on PSN.

My username is named after Metal Slug music composer Takushi Hiyamuta (who is credited as Hiya!) 

From my experience older games tend to have better soundtrack and metal slug and disgaea 1&2 is no exception.

I want to say it was from the roman legend of Remus and Romulus.... but it really wasn't, it was back in the day when I was into cars and there was a manufacturer of exhausts called Remus and I liked the logo (a wolf). Evidently the business owner was more cultured than me...

Back when I used to play TigerWoods 2006 online I had the very boring name nineiron and then some random numbers.

 

When I put “nine iron” into teamspeak it would pronounce it phonetically when I joined, hence I became “Nine Eye Ron”

I generally switch between a phonetic spelling of my first name, or the name of a character in a story I've written.

 

When I downloaded Steam, though, I had an idea about a moose that had tentacles instead of antlers, so it gets to be the exception to the rule.
