What if that $700 needs to be spent on things like bills or rent or human sustenance level food?  A luxury, but a first tier luxury for some, perhaps.

Cat food, baby food, and diapers are some of the most shoplifted items.  Cigarettes aren’t mostly because they’re kept behind the counter as a matter of course.  Those other things are following them as behind counter items though.  Time for a toilet company to get involved and produce flushing automatic litter boxes I think.  They’ll sell better than biddets.

Hah I believe it. I don't have kids, never will, so that's an easy one for me. Never smoked. And never shoplifted anything. Never even been tempted to, actually. I have a deeply ingrained mentality that 'that item belongs to someone else, I will not take it because it doesn't belong to me, unless I pay for it'.

 

Joking aside, when I was living with two cats and my ex, we literally prioritized our cat's well-being over our own. We bought cat food, then went to the food bank for ourselves at one point. Not long after, I had stable income, and it became a moot point, but the food bank certainly saved us a lot of trouble.

 

Now I have a job making enough that I can live comfortably, I just need to deal with other crap and then I can get a cat again.

 

After all, I want to be a Cat Couch when I grow up. :3

haha yes, teleport cat poo to the bin I'm guessing you have a cat like ours, yes, she goes in the litter box sometimes, but quite often I'll see evidence of her having gone somewhere else.  And who knows where she might have gone under some furniture or behind a pile of random stuff in the living room (which actually used to be a garage, but that was a long time ago, it was already converted before my parents moved here in 1978.)

More times than I can count or remember, I've been sitting at my PC, looked over where her litter box is, and seen her squatting on the step literally ONE FOOT / 30 cm from the litter box, OUTSIDE the box, looking right at it!

Edit: I know that the pics ain't the best lighting-wise. I like to keep my place quite dark because of migraines. Usually the only light in the bedroom (which is where my desk is located) is from the computer monitors that all have f.lux on them, keyboard, TV, phone screen, and Hue Play Bars attached to the back of my main monitor.
