hi everyone, i'll go straight to the point and then elaborate on some point.

My pc turn off sometime and i don't understand why. i can play satisfactory on ultra for 12 hour without any issue but something between 1 minute to a couple hour (mostly before 30 minutes) with supermarket simulator, all the little indie game will turn quickly my pc off but i can play several hour on the big one like forza 6 for exemple, the first time i played, 2-3 hours without nothing and the next time, with my friend, shut off after 2 race (i just realize it might be a network issue)

So for the contexe, i ain't a pro in building a pc but i can handle the basic. After moving 2 time in a short time (3000 km) when i did plugged everything, nothing was working and i thought it might be my motherboard and the onlything i don't touch in a pc is the cpu, so i did send it to a local repair shop wishing they could tell me what is wrong with it. The answer, EVERYTHING, CPU GPU and the motherboard, wich doesn't make any sens to me. After talking a little bit with him he did a double check and after all it was only my motherboard, he did try to steal my i7 5700 and trade it for an old 2000ish something, he told me he might have switch it with another pc but he'll order me a new one and i won't pay for anything, BUT, i did order a new GPU, a rtx 5070 and once i open my pc i saw the cpu had a couple scratch on it so its a used one.

So.. i don't know what he did in my pc but it doesn't work well and i hate it, what more frustrating than playing a game without knowing when it will close right in front of you!

I had a ssd on my last one but won't fit in this one, might be a issue too

I search on the internet and the only thing i could think is the power supply  but i have a 750w so i don't know

English ain't my first language so sorry for what you just read ahah 🖖

Oh and when it turn off, everything turn off exept an orange light from my motherbord

32go RAM

motherboard: 550m-a wifi ii

power supply: EVGA 750W

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G

GPU Nvidia geforce RTX 5070 12go

Thanks in advance for any help!

That's what I was afraid of, the EVGA N1 is a terrible power supply and I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

You can see here on the PSU Tierlist that its in the F:Tier, meaning its incredibly poor.

I would start looking into changing that PSU, even if its not the issue of your problems...

No worries, I have actually seen the EVGA W1 and N1 cause shutdown issues over the years so definitely worth swapping that out.

If you are on a budget then the ABN lineup from MSI are fairly solid with a 5 year warranty while the AGL lineup are a bit higher end with 7-10 year warranty.

There are of course other PSU's in that price range that are decent too.

Your PC would work well with a solid 550w so 750w is a bit overkill but its nice having some extra wattage 🙂

That's the range the PSU might be unstable, just because it can handle full load doesn't mean its not causing issues.

I would swap out that PSU immediately anyhow and see if your issues are fixed, if not we should continue troubleshooting.

Sure, its a bit overestimated.  So the GPU manufacturer will recommend a 750w to make sure its enough if you are running a very high wattage CPU like a Intel 14900k that can draw 300 watts.

Your 5700G will usually sit at 60-80w during heavy gaming while the RTX 5070 is going to draw around 220w at full load... So lets say 80w for CPU, 220w GPU and 80w for the rest of the system, thats not even 400w at full load during heavy gaming, so it would actually run on a solid 500w PSU.

So they always recommend a bit more to give you a buffer and to make sure it will work 🙂 But they always overstimate a bit, for their own safety reasons.

I ran my 9800X3D and overclocked RTX 4080 ( 360w ) on a 550w without issues for a while when I had to RMA my 1000w PSU due to an issue.
