Eh, anyone with even a modicum of knowledge about embedded devices could've told this. The sad thing is, non-techies won't understand or care, so nothing will change, no matter how many times news like this are spread around.

I thought this has been a warning by many security experts because of the fact that majority of these IoT devices don’t have security in mind.

It is unfortunate that consumers are all too willing to trade privacy for convenience. This is an area where HomeKit's approach to security easily outshines any other platform.

We see thousands upon thousands of these devices as part of large botnets attacking out data centers frequently. I thought this was common knowledge. The most common problem devices are IP cameras. I wouldn't really even say they are "hacked". Usually, some dummy has them exposed to the internet, using the default passwords.

And the sky is blue lol. Industrial control systems are on the internet and can be hacked as well. You can literally change traffic lights if you wanted
