Should I Turn off Windows Defender.

I already have my antivirus software from Best Buy (Webroot) so should I turn off windows defender to gain some performance back into my computer

When you install a new AV windows defender should automatically tone itself down. I would not touch anything. Just leave it as is.

I mean, you could just not have Anti Virus and not visit shady sites, but I'd recommend keeping it on.

(Yes, I know there are some sites that are legit and get hacked. But still, computer safety isn't that hard. All you need is a VPN & an Ad Blocker for most day to day activities).

Yes, you can, it's your choice. One registry entire and your defender will be disabled.

I don't see point. WinDef has always disabled features it detects another software handling. Whether it has been free version of Avast or BitDefender in my case, or now paid version of BitDefender.

Yes, mostly. But he has some not so popular AV and that may be a problem.
