Quad SLI Titans running 3X 4k screens (console fanboys need not apply)

Fruitbooter

I'm not going to continue to argue with immature PC elitists members in this forum. If you don't see the value in consoles then do so on your own time.

I think consoles are great, without them video games may have never become a common thing. It's great for the average gamer, and is sufficient enough for having a good experience. But I also think that if you have the ability to, you should save up for a good gaming PC rather than buying a console.

That's just my view on it.

"Why are people are sticking up for consoles on a tech/ PC forum anyway.."

This is the most ironic sentence ever. Consoles are a piece of tech.

So in your opinion do you think this forum has more PC enthusiasts or console lovers?

They are obviously a piece of tech and you clearly knew my point, stop trolling.

true, but then again, you can't plug a 'keyboard and mouse'/'other type of device' into a console. So consoles are more limited in terms of overall input devices.

You can. They have adapters.

Why wouldn't they stick up for consoles? I play PC games. I play console games. Just because you have a PC and play PC games does NOT mean you have to be anti console.

You are definitely more than entitled to your own opinion, and that's great. But just because other people have theirs doesn't make them wrong.

I like consoles because I know, no matter what the game will work at it's best. I don't have to upgrade a video card, or wonder if the video card I have will push max settings.

It's also easier to hop on and just play. I just turn it on and go to Multiplayer. I don't have to go find servers or tell my friends which server I'm going to play on.

It's not a HUGE problem to do so, but at the end of the day if I just want to sit down for 45 minutes or whatever of quick gaming it's most ideal.

Oh, and they're stupid cheap. I got my 360 for $200, I'll get my One for about $300. Find me a PC that can do what the XBox One can, at that price.

Gamers & the ease of use of the intended system...

Comparisons at this point are stupid.

Consoles usage case are for people who don't like fiddling, searching, managing or fixing.

It just Works

PC's are for people who do like managing, customizing, fiddling and searching.

It Works....Mostly

You can't compare an apple to an orange.. Both are fit for purpose, that purpose depends on YOU.

I just bought a PS3 ($100) and have been getting into that recently, loving it so far, sits on my desk with my PC, hooked to the 1080p 27" monitor.

However I use the PC for web browsing and research, where the PS3 is let down,.. still another stupid comparison that shouldn't be made due to the purpose of the intended machine.

Don't be a fanboi, Be a Fan!

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

ok, cool

but what about stuff like the "stinky footboard" or the "USB buttplug"?

edit: if I'm not mistaken, you only need extra software to connect peripherals to a PC, while you need extra hardware to connect them to a console.

it seems like an unnecessary burden :(

to some extent, consoles are less likely to have errors,

But their hardware can be damaged just as easily as any other hardware,(eg the HDD can wear out., dust can gather up in the system....fans can start failing...)

As long as I can afford it and enjoy it, I don't see why there's a care in the world.

12K means diddly squat if you can't enjoy what you're playing. I mean, I still enjoy the old Sonic and Knuckles games more than I did Crysis 3. I absolutely love Team Fortress 2, and that's one of the most basic looking games available.

"But Suika, Crysis 3 has better this and can be played at-" Shut the front door, that's your opinion!

The only reason I love PC is the same reason I loved building sets as a kid. My friends couldn't build and if they could, mine was always better.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

I guess. If you consider plugging something into a usb port a burden?

edit: the device(console) is cheaper at this time. (the games on pc are cheaper + you can have better graphics)

edit2: within a year or two consoles will no longer offer decent performance for the price

they may deliver OK performance for the price, but in the near future they no longer will!

yeh that's the issue but a large market of console users are young children and people who probably wouldn't even know what a resolution or fps is ahah so it doesn't bother them

yes true... :)

Then I find it sad for them that they don't know what they're missing. to some extend I blame microsoft and sony for this. :(

yeh switching to pc was the best thing i did even though i was worried i'd forever suck at mouse and keyboard ahha. I do miss console games and the sort of lounge room vibe where anyone can just play and that whereas when im playing on my pc im usually more serious (probably the games i play)
