Ghost S1 from Louqe

A brand new tiny case is coming from a new Swedish case maker called Louqe (pronounced Loki) and it's called Ghost S1.

They tried a kickstarter campaign earlier but it failed so they went back to the drawing board and this is the new revised version.

It's not exactly a new case, and they haven't really been all that great with communication. I was interested, emailed them, they only replied once (I emailed them again after with additional questions) and their answer was simply to find a forum that had the info I needed. Great service. Lost me as a customer.

 

The product has an interesting concept, especially since the newer revision allows for an AIO, but I wouldn't give them my money.

It's an entirely different concept. You can add top pieces to add room for additional cooling or hard drives, it has a customization pull tab flag, and it's actually a fair bit smaller.

It's just you. It has about the same size and layout of the Dancase A4. I assume that's what you meant?

 

I remember this from the kickstarter. Not entirely sure what they changed? The addons are interesting, but they won't look good with the lines between the different parts. Especially not on such a premium product. Even Dancase have side windows now, but they are plastic and not very nice. These guys should focus on making the case just a tad bigger than the Dancase, but introduce a lot more practicality and maybe a proper glass side window option. It does seem to be wider for access to a larger CPU cooler, which is a great step in the right direction.

I'm quite keen to back this project, I dont quite understand what the difference is between the ghost xs mkii and the ghost s1.

It was from their website. I actually now have a different issue with their Kickstarter campaign. They're charging 25% VAT on all orders. As I'm not an EU citizen, I'm not required to pay VAT. I messaged him and he refuses to look into it. I'm not paying a 25% premium for no reason. He's ripping people off.

Ghost S1 was first though. However, it does take the internal layout of the A4, so Dan can get some credit

Absolutely. I see the C4 as a great alternative to the Ncase M1 for instance. The Ghost S1 seems like a good alternative to the Dancase A4 and C4 and maybe even the Ncase M1 too.

As I sit right now, I want one. The styling of the white case will fit right in on my new desk when I get it set up. Its very modern Scandinavian which will look the part. Perfect for a little bare bones pc I want to build.

I just sent them an email whether or not they can confirm that the Gaming X cards fit this case without an additional tophat. I would love to put my system in the S1 without changing all the components again.

The bullet is smaller then most ITX cases.

That is a completely different size. Actually more than double the volume (Ghost is about 40% of the Bullet case)

The point of the ncase is that you still have the gpu directly in the slot, this is a replica of the DAN Case Af4

I'm looking forward to its release. There are no alternatives, no other case looks that nice in that form factor.
