Open it and remove the inside...?

Looks exactly the same, just no connectors.

There is a sticker that must be cut to open the inside.

open the case, take the pcb out, cut the ports, put em back in, burn the chips

That would change the physical appearance.

You can open it without cutting the sticker...

Just unpeel the sticker and put it back.

Why do you need to do this anyway?

I tried that. It didn't even show up in any of the partition managers.

Take dat ssd, and introduce it to ze oven. Heat it up to 350 degrees, then leave for 4 min. You just fucked up the entire thing. Now put it in a cardboard box, and leave it outside for 24 hours. Then send it back.

No, it won't. If it's made of a metal casing, no. It'll fry the circuits though, and he won't be able to tell it wasn't shipping.

Can you detect the ssd in bios? If not then it is already dead anyways. Or since its ebay just tell the guy the it didn't work and you want your money back if he refuses ebay will step in and either just give you the money or force him to.

I had the same problem with an ssd i bought off ebay as well. Happened to die do to the previous owner not properly cleaning the mineral oil off the inside of the drive. If you contact the seller and are nice and honest, then 9 times out of 10 they will help. If not then open a claim through ebay and theyll step in and refund.
