And one for Brandon, What GoPro should you buy Vs Other Action/Blogging Cams on the market (Maybe even make it a 3 parter where GoPros are one episode, Others on another and the final Conclusion where the top 3 in each test make that episode)

I did think about this one, or if Jerry was subbed out for Austin on the final day or two.

 

Id also ban the use of the Q6600 in this one, its been done and overdone now. Allow them to go as far back as Sandy Bridge. Allow them 3 days, sourcing parts and buying them, a day to build and the presentation on the final day. Budget would be $2,000 for whole system including a monitor and peripherals this time to make it more representative of a average build???

After watching the Reliable Data Storage on the Cheap! It would be nice to see a Server build project for the home user. Since Linus said all the two bay and four bay NAS for the home user SUCKS, I would like some input on building my own server. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2fnM6X was what I put together so far, will actually use four HDD drives, but not sure if I am missing anything or did I go way overboard?? Thank you!!

I have had to disagree with Linus's opinion on that video. If you want a good 4 bay home based go watch barnaclues Synology Nas review.

Thanks, I will take a look at the review. But would a server be better than a NAS for home use. I was thinking about making a server for my photos, videos, etc but also making it a surveillance server to record my video cameras around my house?

Could you make a comparison between two monitors? Dell P2417H and U2417H. I am wondering how different are these two since I heard the main 'big' difference is the color even though these two are both IPS.

The synology NAS has a suveillance software in it along with a bunch of other stuff. The reason why the synology nas looks like a better option because it would be less of a headache to use with a lot of the features linus would use buit in. In end though its up to you.  If you do want a Windows based storage server check out Thecus Nas because some of them even include Windows Storage Server for free on them too.

Budget gamepads. Wired and Wireless. Something like the Xbox 360, Logitech F310, F510, F710, Nyko gamepads, Thrustmaster gamepads and compare what you are losing compared to ones like Nvidia Shield Controller (the new one is a lot better) a Dualshock 4 controller, Xbox One controller or maybe even Xbox Elite controller.

Thanks for the help!!!  I guess I was trying to find a justification (to my wife) why I needed to build another computer!!  But I do like the synology option.  I did read that it comes with a surveillance software, so this might be a better option for me!!

This is not a review suggestion per se but an interview suggestion hopefully in the future. An interview with Elon Musk. If anyone from the LMG team can have a Tesla factory tour and an interview with the man himself, I'll watch it repeatedly. That would probably be the best LTT video ever.

Don't know if this got mentioned before (which I apologize if it has), but I've kept seeing these "Magentic Phone Chargers" that supposedly have a usb plug in your phone and uses magnets to attach a cord to the usb plug. According to the ad, it makes it so if you bump the cord, your phone detaches, instead of getting launched off the surface. Curious if it is actually a cool device, or just an advertisement to draw people in, but the product is actually garbage.

I'm sure they have done a vid on them before maybe in one of the cheap tech under a tenner vids could be wrong of course but I think generally they are well recieved.
