Good on you for waiting for the new stuff to get released. Thermal paste comes preapplied to the stock cooler, so there is no need to spend the 7 pounds on extra. I would also recommend a B450 Tomahawk MAX instead of a B550 board because it will work with the next gen of CPUs without problem. The biggest thing I see is that you really should get a 500gb M.2 SSD as that will fill up very fast. Otherwise, good on the list.

To answer your question about fans: There isn't really any noticeable difference as long as you have some airflow. Your case probably comes with two fans preinstalled, you won't notice a difference between 2 and 3 fans, or even 4.

comes with 1 fan 😞

Some experienced users in the cases section told me to go for a p300a or a p400a (i had chosen fractal design g)

and im choosing b550 cause of future proof and i can upgrade my cpu later on in the years. Idk if its worth changing to a b450.

also i cant find a good decently cheap 500gb m.2 ssd 😞

Theres so many, but I dont know which ones good and I dont know how many fans i'll need.

These are good, and they are PWM.

Otherwise I'd wait to build, and 2070S is a good GPU but is a few months away from being replaced by Nvidias RTX 3xxx series.

Any decent rgb ones? my whole setup has 0 rgb and I kinda like a bit of aesthetics. BUT

I dont mind the fans you've sent me. But any option for some rgb ones? (I dont mind it being rgb or anything just curious to see good prices for rgb ones)

Arctic F12s and P12s are cheap and compete with expensive fans like Noctua and beQuiet. I can get a 5 pack of P12s for the cost of one Noctua A12 on Amazon. The Noctua redux line of fans are a good cheapish option too.

I recommend looking into rgb fan rings and strip lighting to add some light to your case.

This is a 5-pack, I've used these fans and for the price they are good.

You may be correct.  B550 is potentially more upgradable than b450.  It becomes a question of future usability.  B550 has very little in the way of “useful right now” features outside of a few ports, and it tends to cost more.  A value judgement for the OP.

Bright side m.2 still does little for gaming.  A big SATA main drive can be used as a storage drive later if things change.

i can speak generally about fan cheapness.

sleeve bearing fans work reasonably well and are cheap and extremely quiet (until they wear).  They have a major achellies heel though:  if they are face either up or down they wear out really fast.

One bearing fans (example AMD cooler stock fans) are louder than sleeve and wear out generally faster.  They can be put in a single up or down orientation according to their design but not both

two bearing fans are like one bearing fans but have a bearing at both ends.  A cheap solution for up/down stuff

3 bearing fans work differently than one or two. They have 3 bearings in a triangle in the center. They are expensive and pretty long life.  They’re not very quiet even when new though.  Generally only industrial fans have this system. Mostly replaced by modified rifle.

rifle and modified rifle:

a sleeve bearing fan with a spiral groove cut in the sleeve to distribute lubricant.  Modified rifle has microscopic ridges on the barrel as well to distribute lubricant more.  Most expensive fans are variants of this type.  Long lasting, quiet, and can be put in any orientation.

enlobal/magnetic/maglev

no lubricant or bearings at all because the spindle is magnetically levitated so it doesn’t touch anything.  Longest lasting and Most expensive.  For one thing they must be very very carefully balanced.

My general suggestion would be to look at arctic cooling.  They do cheap and their LLS bearing is a modified rifle bearing.  Failing that sleeve for vertical mount case fans and 2bearing for top or bottom.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

they're nice but 5 fans?! I'll only need 2 fans! but do they come with a remote?

They also come in a 3-pack or individually, the multi packs are the best buy in terms of $/fan. They attach to the motherboards RGB header and are controlled that way, remotes are sh!t IMO.

so after reading through the thread:

Nice build

would agree with an SSD it will make for a better overall experience better even if it is just a small one to put windows on and basic apps

agree you don't need to buy paste.

You'll be way happier with the p300a over the design g

the arctic p12 fan are a great fan

Your concerns with RGB:

when you say RGB i assume you want to be able to control the lighting. With that in mind. Your not going to truely get what you want on the cheap. maybe Aigo might be within the budget.  But you could get some RGB ram that will bring a nice flare to your build without extra cost.

I do agree you

However

the p1 is good reliable ssd drive at a decent price for 500gb. It just happens to be m.2

A more fitting ssd for the budget would be the Crucial BX500 120gb at least have windows and some apps or fav game on it

Yeah I'm on the storage device section, they've told me to go for a wdblack or samsungevo but i moved the ssd talk there.

I'll opt in for a b450 mobo.

Only issue with b450 is while it has multiple pcie slots actually using more than one is very likely to cause future problems, and as systems age and port types change it can become limiting.  Simple solution is just to buy a more capable motherboard along with a cpu upgrade.  It’s about what you want to spend when.  Totally a value judgement.  I updated that post btw with what I know about fans.  Might be useful might not.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Thank you so much, Would this work out then? https://www.amazon.co.uk/ARCTIC-F12-Standard-Configuration-possible/dp/B002KTVFTE/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=arctic+cooling+fans&qid=1595099554&s=computers&sr=1-2

Yep.  Even as up/down.  FDB is modified rifle  Blade shape indicates not a lot of static pressure.  Your case is pretty direct flow though.  Wouldn’t work well as an AIO fan but fine as a case fan.

Doh just realized that this a euro build

You may want to know the Kaza KZ05 case is on sale for 30$. the p300a is killer, but at 1/3 the cost the kaze kz05 will open up your budget a bit.

ooo, I'm checking it out. I've seen this case before but no one has said anything about it. I was only told to go for a p300a or a p400a

a lot of case have been out of stock so the p300a and p400a have been solid go to's for budget airflow options.

the kz05 is an acrylic side panel. easy to scratch.. is it biggest downfall.

It’s famously huge.  Useful mostly if a gpu doesn’t have a cooler. Generally it’s cheaper to buy a gpu with a cooler that can be set specifically for that card.  That cooler is  generic and this has some issues.  If you’re buying a gpu new it will have a cooler already.
