Woke up to crossing 11 million. I found one of those Star Wars Titan Xp cards for sale used near me, anyone have any experience with the Titan Xp? Would it be any significant upgrade over my 2070?

Probably a gamble... IIRC the Titan Xp is a fully unlocked GP102 which would make it prob like ~5-10% better than my current GPU so maybe 10-15% better ppd than mine but i dunno how your 2070 compares due to the architecture differences. They very well may trade blows

Okay, So I just got dealt a HUGE 28,800 Base credit GPU load that blue screened my PC by forcing 100% CPU usage at the start of the Work Load.

I had to dial back ALL my settings to default (I had some basic OCs set on my 9900k).

Probably one to watch out for guys, I never thought that the GPU Work Unit would crush my CPU quite that hard.

If thats the one i think it is its a rather juicy one that gives 30-60% more ppd than others. I dunno why it crashed for you

I presume because my OC wasnt as stable as I thought. AVX256 workloads are a WHOLE other beast.

I Just got 10% of the way through, and the GPU stopped working, and the CPU ramped up to 100% again for about 30 seconds, before going back to normal.  The work load needs a beefy CPU along side to keep the GPU fed, it seems!  I don't know why else it would require 100% CPU usage for a GPU workload!

any idea why project 14541 is scoring 15-20% lower for me than the average project 2 days ago? is it old architecture on my side or just the appraisal that project ended up having?

I think someone shared this yesterday but I got an email from Jason at EoC.

I made a long-term chart race video that I posted last night, thought you might want to share with the folders on LTT… Seeing as how y'all have an unprecedented amount of active folders currently, in theory you could do exactly what CureCoin does in the race and just take off from the rest of the pack… I guess only time will tell…

Hey all.

I joined about a week ago, with a core i3-4160 and a GTX 950 I built around 5 years ago.

So far, I left the F@H on medium, and have racked up 19wu and i went from being at the bottom of the contributers (63K+) to 20571 as of a few minutes ago.

Seems that any rig can be dependable, and that's good. I like that we can contribute, no matter what. Every little bit counts, right?

We also helped bump LTT up in the ranks, so I'm pretty happy about that.

What's new about the team and the project itself?

I haven't seen anywhere what the Points are for, not that it maters.

Where can we find out about the impact we're having?

I like that the first that I saw of this was a post from PMCR, but that the LTT community is blowing them out of the water.

This is nice. I like how we, as a community, can come together. :)

I have always used an older version that is shared among the OC community that recommends not worrying about AVX stressing all that much. Normally its just a 'set a 2 negative offset and itll be fine'

I tried setting a -4 but I was still getting crashes, so I tried reverting to stock and it seemed to do enough.

Here's another example of the GPU stopping to wait for my CPU to do something...

How do you have your CPU set up in F@H adcanced control? You may want to go into configure -> slots -> double click on CPU.

If you have it set to -1 (the default), that means the client is handling allocation of CPU cores/threads and could be choking the entire thing up. If you are using NVIDIA GPU(s), I recommend setting this number to x-y, where x is the number of cores you have and y is the number of GPUs you are folding on. If you are using AMD GPU(s), set it to x-1.

If you've already done this, I have no other advice and perhaps that WU is just a slaughterhouse

Not specifically, COVID WUs are prioritized but you cant force the client to take them.

Getting them so fast i had to turn of queuing new WUs at 95%... what gpu are you using and have you tried restarting your client?
