No. This place ain't Facebook, we don't whore for upvotes. People can simply use the search-function to find what they need instead.

Hmm, I am personally not in favor of this. The reputation points are just an extra thing to denote an informative or funny reply. Not to show 'post quality' or whatever.

There are already two features for this. Mark as answered and Reputation points. Latter let's you indicate if post is helpful or if you agree. Former marks answered and they can then be filtered by search, activity streams etc.
