If you really want the Gigabyte motherboard, I would say go ahead and get it (others will say not to), it's okay. If you want a better one, I would try to get the B450 Pro Carbon over the Gigabyte one if you need wifi. It's a better board all around, the Gigabyte models lack quality VRMs and some are known for having BIOS issues. Otherwise, looks like a great setup, just make sure your RAM is 3000mhz or above.. Also, there are better power supplies, but if you're getting a great deal on that one, I would say it's perfectly fine (some people will disagree and tell you not to get it, ignore them).

Welcome to the forum.

Your parts will depend on your use case. What will you be using your computer for? (gaming, rendering, editing, etc) If you're gaming, what games will you be playing and at what resolution/refresh rate? If you're modeling, editing, etc, what software will you be using? Also what country do you live in so we know what dollar you're talking about.

My Build, v2.1 --- CPU: i7-8700K @ 5.2GHz/1.288v || MoBo: Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E Gaming || RAM: 4x4GB G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 2666 14-14-14-33 || Cooler: Custom Loop || GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC Black, on water || PSU: EVGA G2 850W || Case: Corsair 450D || SSD: 850 Evo 250GB, Intel 660p 2TB || Storage: WD Blue 2TB || G502 & Glorious PCGR Fully Custom 80% Keyboard || MX34VQ, PG278Q, PB278Q

Welcome to the forums!

This is something I suggested in another topic but your budget is the same, I recommend this:

But with a still decent quality PSU and Motherboard, and just sticking with the stock air cooler, you could get this:

Another alternative, if you have a use for multiple cores, is the R7 1700 CPU for $158:

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3kPzK8/amd-ryzen-7-1700-30ghz-8-core-processor-yd1700bbaebox

EDIT: The EVGA 650W G3 is unnecessary, a 550W Corsair RMx or Corsair CXm like I suggested is perfect, both are good quality.

More for you than for OP, the price of PSUs depends mostly just on the day. They can vary quite greatly sometimes. Also I'd be more specific to point out that the wattage is what is unnecessary, since the RMx is also fully modular, but that's just me nit picking.

Also this. Mid range and higher end MSI boards are pretty much all solid choices, especially if you plan on keeping the system for a long time and upgrading it as you go.

Why not both? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3YhKHx/msi-b450-gaming-plus-atx-am4-motherboard-b450-gaming-plus (or the B450 tomahawk for a slightly more featured board).

As I mentioned above, MSI makes great B450/X470 motherboards. Quality VRMs and will support more cores if you decide to upgrade in the future.

Looks great! Only thing I would personally add is an 1tb+ HDD, since I edit and store a lot of files. If you only play games an save the occasional gameplay clip, you should be fine.
