I've been browsing around forums for years now, LTT has probably been the best in terms of combatting toxicity. There isn't even a ton to begin with, which is equally nice.

We're always here to help. Being honest though if your topic isn't answered within the first 24 hours there's a high probability you won't get help at all so if you find certain people who have worked well in answering your problems in the past remember to @ them in future posts. Chances are if they don't have the solution they will know others who might which will bring attention to your post to get it solved.

Not to be confused with your forum reputation. Someone with an 18,000 reputation does not make then a god among everyone. "All hail that guy with the biggest number, knower of all that is technical!" *everyone navigates to his page with offerings to have their problems fixed, start kneeling infront of their computers kissing the floor*

That's not bad. For every 2.5 posts you gain a rep.

I'm almost exactly 2:1

But there are people who live in the status updates so hard their ratio is almost 1:12 I'm lookin at you TopHatProductions115.

^^^ this is the problem with Tom's Hardware, you get people labeled as "experts" that have no real idea of what they're talking about. Also their site is messy in my opinion.

I once joined Tom's Hardware.  They didn't let me get an avatar over 100px.

I quit.

Won’t visit often..
