The cause of the coil whine may not be the power supply at all, but may be the graphics card.

Sleep does not affect SSDs any more than it affects other components. It's totally fine, and up to your personal preference.

Who put the engine into the car? Yamaha, or some other manufacturer(including the 'bozo' mentioned in this quote)? Yamaha only makes bikes, so as it stands, Yamaha would be off the hook on the surface. However, if Yamaha had some internal documentation that said "officially it can reach 6000RPMs max, but many of the engines will survive 9000 for x amount of time", they may hold some of the blame, especially if someone made a car with that specific engine and contacted Yamaha about the true RPM limit of the engine.

To the customers, the immediate manufacturer or individual would be at fault. However, that's only one layer of the onion that would be unraveled.

    Hoses** not cables.
Otherwise, I agree that number 1 should be adjusted such that the hoses are pulled further away from the fans. Even if it clears it now, once the pump starts to run, it may cause the hoses to contact the fan blades. Thermal expansion is also a potential factor here.

If that's the case all you really need is a couple of HDDs, an ethernet port, and any old computer. Just install Plex and configure an SMB file share. You could technically do this on a Raspberry Pi, not that it would be very good, but you could do it.

Some do force passcodes to be typed to connect to the device - my car for example forces it for new devices.

I would agree that you're overthinking all of this. The MX500 with a capacity of 500GB can be written to about 360 times(180TB total) using official drive ratings for that capacity. Using the CrystalDiskInfo screenshot as a reference, based on the percentage drop versus the data written to the flash memory, you have 210.5TB of writes, which approximately lines up with the official endurance rating.

Using my own Intel SSD as an example, I've had this drive for about 10 years - the drive has a total uptime of 9.67 years, and I've managed to write 109TB to the actual NAND according to CrystalDiskInfo.
Your own screenshot shows an approximate time of 15.5 years before reaching the end of the drive's life based on current conditions.

Your issue appears to be related to the conflict between the exhaust fan and the CPU fan. Regardless of whatever nonsense the builder told you, your CPU temperatures would likely be better if the fan on the heatsink was flipped the other way, such that it actually exhausted towards the exhaust fan, rather than away from it. The fans are fighting each other.

Defragging is physically moving parts of files around that are broken up across the drive, such that they are effectively put back together. Hard drives are more affected by this than SSDs, but SSDs do benefit from occasional and specific defragging. It's not something you just run on your SSD at all, and you certainly don't want a program that treats an SSD as a hard drive.

TRIM is just the OS telling the drive that those specific files are no longer in use(stale data), which the drive will get to per its internal firmware.

So you highlight the good experience you had with Zotac and ASUS, and ignore all the complaints that people file.

Every company has RMAs, and some individuals might experience a spike in RMAs compared to others.

I've had one Zotac card failure(1/2 so 50% failure rate), and one ASUS card fail(1/2 again, so 50%). Based on those numbers, they must be unreliable! Except I don't think that's true. Sample size is too small, and I would argue that so is yours.

Every company, including EVGA and Seasonic, have the potential to make garbage or at least sub-par products. Other companies exist that make decent or high performance units. Many of EVGA's higher end units are manufactured by Super Flower, which is another power supply manufacturer that you can buy from.
