Drama aside, I really liked how well Linus and the team took this. Ultimately they didn't point fingers at anyone nor acted too big or too important and immediately went to work to amend their mistakes and be better. They could've continued like nothing happened and after a few "dislike waves" everything would be alright on YT. I like that they didn't pick that easy route.

I wouldn't use anything other than PSU cable for PSU just to be safe.

It's probably arcing. Try to move the plug that goes into the PSU and see if it stops.

I don't think with any decent water cooler properly set up you'd see even close to 65c when idle.

Most likely you're not pushing it in hard enough.

Seen people use the AMD stock CPU cooler as case exhaust before.
Just plug it into a different header than CPU_FAN 🙂

Turn it off, unplug, if removing the battery is possible, remove it and hold the power button down for 30 sec. After that turn it upside down and hit the keys, let whatever crap in the keys fall, if persists, use warranty.

Why would it reset your settings if you were to install a new version over the old?
It resets the settings only if you do a clean install.

I thought linus was grinding on one of the guys or something.

My random guess would be that either antivirus program is deleting it, or its attempting to update, deleting the old driver, but not installing the new.

Unless the pc is working at max capacity there is no need for 750w psu for an old family pc. It probably consumes about 200w 90% of the time.

Even if it was 4ghz at all times, on idle it will consume much less power than if it was 4ghz under load.

This happens sometimes when fan is allowed to stop when its cool enough. Just ignore it or remove it from HWINFO. It's not really important. And if it was actually spinning that fast you'd not need a program to know.

Try using chrome instead of edge.
 

Your situation is high risk low reward. Either get it done by a professional or create a new thread in the next couple days which goes like "HELP I tried to open up my laptop to clean it but snapped something and now it wont turn on!!"

Did you switch psu and power plug on?
 
550w system will only consume that at max effort. On idle it will consume 100w give or take.
