NZXT Kraken X73 80c Idle

CHEESECAKEDWARF

Hello everyone, current build is Ryzen 9 5900X, RTX 4080, 64GB T force delta DDR4 Ram 3200, NZXT X73 RGB Cooler, 1250W segotep psu, and a B550 MB. Long story short, ever since I put my pc in a new case the cpu idle temps are sitting around 79c-80c. However under load, it won’t go above 85c. Is this really an issue? I haven’t really bothered with it because it works just fine, no crashes, no system errors. I think it might be falsely reporting temps because I am reading it off of NZXT software but it doesn’t detect my cooler and my fans won’t light up on the cooler. All connections should be good. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

is therre enough thermal paste?

did u pull off the peel?

check hwinfo and see what clocks it has and how much power its consumin on idle, it might not even be in idle, but a constant work load

Dont forget to mark as solution if your question is answered

No thermal throttling? Seems doubtful if i may say so. RealTemp? CoreTemp? HWinfo64? Perhaps try them.

NZXT cam is bad, and you can check temps in HWinfo64. Make sure the pump is running. If it isn't, then that would explain the temperature. You can also run the pump without connecting the usb cable and only run power to it. This will make the pump run at ~4000RPM and you should be able to hear that it's alive.

Give us the power info and other system temps as well. It could be fine or it could be screwy, can’t tell without more context.
