Kitsan got a reaction from RevGAM in 5800X3D direct die
Delidding was very easy, literally only took 5 mins.
Removing the solder residue and then I’ll see if my AIO will fit.

Solder was different to intel, I applied Liquid Metal twice and it was very slow to break it down. So I used a razor in the end.
There is no scoring to the surface, it’s the remaining solder.
I’m a bit too tired to put it in my system tonight, but hopefully will have an update tomorrow.

Kitsan reacted to Queen Chrysalis in Asus B550 Strix ITX USB C issue
Not that I'm aware of. It could also be an issue with there being some kind of short on the USB header on your case. If you can test it with another case, which I know is a big ask, you could narrow it down to it being the board or the case. Either way I'm very sorry to hear that, people are generally very skeptical about buying motherboards with even a single bad header so it kills your sale value. But this board isn't that old. Can you still do a warranty claim?

Kitsan reacted to knowles.garry in High quality 4.0 riser cables?
Im using the linkup PCI-e 4.0 90o 220mm raiser cable, it wasnt cheap, with a RX6800, never had any issues with it, build quality is excellent, when Lian Li finally released the 2 risers for the 011 Mini, I just brought the cheaper PCI-e 3.0 version and swapped the cables, perfect fit.

@Kitsan - you get what you pay for and at least you should only need to buy once.

Kitsan reacted to xAcid9 in Why is 3080ti more expensive than 4070ti?
Just part of the tactic to get you to buy overpriced card. "Hey this better card is cheaper, what a bargain!"

Kitsan reacted to Blai5e in help with cable for gpu
@Dk-Rampage -Phanteks wesite says that PSU comes with 4 PCIE cables (all with pigtails - so, 8 connectors in total).

Kitsan reacted to Blai5e in High quality 4.0 riser cables?
@Kitsan - I use riser cables by LINKUP Technology Inc. I bought my first directly from LINKUP and is in use with my 3090 GPU. The second one came with the EKWB Vertical GPU Holder EVO which I have connected to my 4090 GPU. Not exactly cheap but I've had zero issues with either cable so far.

Kitsan reacted to SavageNeo in Asus ROG Thor Platinum II 1200W
Thor II is still PRIME, but its the "fixed" one. its still pretty loud, with poor heatsinks, but atleast it does not have any tripping issues, if that is what you want to know. its good psu, but not the best

Kitsan reacted to xg32 in Which runs hotter 5800X3D or 5900X?
the 5800x3d draws about 105-125w while the 5900x draws 175w, even though it's more dense it still runs cooler than the 5900x
the 3d is also alot faster in gaming

Kitsan reacted to freeagent in Which runs hotter 5800X3D or 5900X?
X3D is easier to cool than 5900X.

Kitsan reacted to jaslion in Gigabyte FV43U VESA desk arm mount options?
Hence why I said adapter. Just get a 200x200 vesa to 100x100 vesa adapter. The lx can comfortably handle a 9kg display and yours inst close to that.

Kitsan reacted to e22big in Gigabyte FV43U VESA desk arm mount options?
I used Bewiser arm, some Chinese brand. It's fine but not the greatest thus far. If you get one, I suggest looking for something with a good vertical adjustment capability - and don't care too much about horizontal.
Actually, I would recommend looking for something with the stiffest horizontal adjustment you could find none at all even. Because of the wierd power cord placement of this monitor (it's at the opposite of DP and HDMI ports), you'll have some very limited horizontal adjustment regardless of the arm you used for this monitor (the power cord will keep pulling it back no matter what you do)
On the other, a 43 inch monitor is pretty tall, you many want to pull it down to your face a lot more than you thought. Thus, vertical swing is a lot more important.

Kitsan got a reaction from TVwazhere in ITX/MATX case for 336mm GPU?
I contacted them directly and as luck would have it overclockers.co.uk which is owned by caseking have placed an order! It is due to arrive in mid-March
Overclockers staff seemed to be unaware of this but they checked and confirmed the above 😄
I can confirm that it is PCB and backplate on the Suprim X, so it's not like I could remove the shroud and it would fit 😞
