Chett_Manly got a reaction from Trik'Stari in German Union suing YouTube for billions over unfair conditions for Creators
I am growing more sympathetic to their arguments every week. People start making videos on YouTube, they have a contract with YouTube, Terms of Service, they abide by it, they grow their channel, they invest in it, they make money off it, it becomes their career, it makes YouTube a ton of money as well. Then one day some bluecheckmark on Twitter whines and suddenly their channel which provided their income, which put a roof over their head and food in their child's mouth, which took years to build is stripped away, without warning, with no recourse, no way to gain it back, no alternative in the marketplace due to YouTube's monopoly.

YouTube sets itself up as being a place where you invest time and follow the rules you can have it be your career. They advertise it as such. The courts needs to provide a solution to dealing with YouTube as a creator who invested their time into YouTube only to be destroyed by YouTube with no recourse. YouTube is providing people full time employment, they advertise the platform as a way to make money, they are the ones selling that ad space and paying the creators, they should be held accountable.

Why 5-10x? I think you, and the battery swap people, are dramatically overestimating the daily mileage a work truck needs. If you are doing 5-6 jobs a day in the local area, you still aren't racking up much more than a 100 miles. Overnight charging and a range of 300 miles will likely suit the needs of most light duty truck jobs. You are going from your home/office to your work site to supply pick up back to a work site, back to home/office. That's most light duty truck jobs, its not interstate travel.

And while no technology is going to grant us a 5x-10x increase in capacity anytime soon, graphene ball technology may well give us a 40-50% increase in capacity in the next few years, enabling Ford to sell an electric F-150 with a range above 500 miles, which also enabling even faster charging, possibly even giving you the ability to charge over 100 miles per 10 minutes with an almost empty battery.

Google has a monopoly in search, in advertising, and uses those anti-competitively to boost other products to near monopolies, as it has done with YouTube, which they then used to cement their Browser monopoly by creating a subpar experience in YouTube for non Google browsers.

Google is nothing but anti-competitive practices.

I hope it is broken up.

Would have been much better than the Mary Jane sections they shoe horned into Spider-Man to have a female playable character. Though I still find it odd they didn't utilize Black Cat for that. Someone at least with powers!

not used or second hand, no, it was oem, tray cpus, they seem to buy them by the hundreds, are units meant to be used by system integrators, not sold per unit so they dont have boxes for the cpu

perhaps you never bought a oem cpu on a tray, it looks like this

for some reason they had the right heatsink for it on a oem box

i bought it because it is cheaper and it came without the heatsink that i dont need, i have a cooler master tx3 evo

is not a great cooler, but uses the old mounting system from the old amd cpus and is quiet, something most stock coolers dont offer

I've got a box of stock Intel coolers, mostly 775 though so pretty much useless now. Sometimes I use the fans for things, sometimes I do find situations where I need them, often they just sit in a box. They *can* be used for other purposes if you drill holes and tap threads or use thermal epoxy. I've seen them used to cool high power LED's in custom built lights.

People counting Intel out are being silly. AMD's biggest advantage right now is the 7nm process. A process Intel could use if they wanted to swallow their pride. Intel can give up on their 10nm and pay Samsung or TSMC for 7nm and start pumping out chips. They have the engineers, money and market power to do it.

Just think where Intel would be today if 2 years ago they gave up on 10nm and got onboard TSMC's 7nm customer list. How well would Ryzen 3000 stack up to a 7nm instead of 14nm+++ Intel chip?

Words on a screen cannot hurt you unless you have a weak mind. Cyberbullying is 100% about weakness. About people who are so weak they break down into tears over some pixels. They don't have to break down into tears, they can become strong, they can gain the ability to choose to not care.

Instead of teaching people to be adults with strong mental facilities that can laugh off mean comments, we are going to try to police speech, creating an atmosphere that is productive of creating mentally weak people, who will need ever more and more protection from their bad feelings.

"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" was a hell of a lot better for society.

I'm not buying the Tweet nonsense at all. They got caught with their pants down by Nvidia willing to push price/performance with Super editions and now are trying to save face as they had to cut their profit margins before even launching the product.

Also as a publicly traded company, if they actually publicly released fake pricing, duping investors as to the profit potential of the products, they should be investigated by the SEC.

Chett_Manly got a reaction from Technous285 in Cyberpunk's creator slams critics who claim Cyberpunk 2077 is racist / inaccurate to the source, refutes their claims
A lot of arguing in this thread of politics being in games, and games shouldn't be political. I feel like its missing a greater point. Of course games are political, all art is, but until around 2013 there was not a concerted effort to force ALL games to be politically correct to the left wing Western audience. There are many different political viewpoints and thoughts, but only one won't get you attacked by the games media!

Cyberpunk is not going to be politically correct for Western Leftists, and the attempts to force it to be by games journalists are despicable and evil. Sorry Games Journos, your attempt at bullying CD Projekt Red into conforming to your political viewpoint has failed.
