Dear Linus... this is hard to write, but I hope you will actually read this.

One of the things which truly frustrates me with Linus MG is the fact that you clearly omit Canadian viewers. I understand 100% that most of the viewers may be American, which by the way, isn't very hard to accomplish when the US has ten times the population that Canada does. Regardless, in terms of either giveaways, or the currency you use to speak about PC parts for example, or even when using Amazon's .com version of the website instead of the .ca version... these are things that puts me off and draws me to watch other content more often than not for the past three or so months.
 
Can we, Canadians, get the recognition we deserve by an actual Canadian youtube channel? Is this so hard to ask? I'm frankly getting tired of the disrespect that LMG shows us towards their own fellow Canadians. Don't get me wrong, I do respect LMG, but I would like that SAME respect back. I used to love your content and your team's for that matter, but I've mostly been watching Anthony, Madison, James and Riley more than actually you recently. Not because I dislike you, but rather because I feel that the Canadian connection that we, the Canadian viewer, should have with you, isn't there anymore. That is hard to say or even accept, as I prefer Canadians when it comes to entertainment (so do Americans, hence why the best actors after all, are Canadian).

If we consider the last video featuring a giveaway (from a third party mind you), once more Canadians are excluded. I can understand excluding a country an ocean away because of logistics, shipping price etc., but Canada? Seriously? The way I see it... LMG themselves draws the TV, and if it's a Canadian winner, then Vizio ships it to Linus and LMG as a professional courtesy, and LGM then ships it.

I understand that actual giveaway may be for any random US customer (and not just LGM), but why bother sponsoring your video if that's the case? I don't know. Nonetheless, my original point is valid, and my concern about us Canadians being consistently excluded from it's own Canadian made and born Linus and team... is frustrating. A real turn off for someone who feels that Canadian viewers are being scorned by another Canadian for no reason.

Is it that hard to use BOTH CAD and USD when speaking about pricing? Is it that hard to have two Amazon lists? Which would most likely be the same but using different currencies. Or hell, even using the exact same pcpartpicker list on 2 different tabs, with two different currencies? I don't expect you to do that for two hundred countries, but for your own country that you currently live in, and were born in? Just saying...

It depends for what. They differ tremendously when it comes to apps like PayPal for example in their conversion rates.

It would be nice if you could actually acknowledge the people that have taken the time to respond to your thread with the asnwers you've asked for. I spent a while to think about and respond to yours and the others guys VR post and neither have bothered to actually respond. When people spend time to try and help you, it doesn't take much effort to actually acknowledge their efforts. Or maybe that's just a recurring theme on these forums I don't know. I only recently joined. Just seems like common human courtesy but that seems to be harder to come by these days, 

That data has been used to target political material to people, companies like Facebook literally have the power to sway elections with their algorithms.
Besides that, the fact that you need to log into facebook and use their store to use the built-in compute of the Quest and Quest2, combined with the suspiciously cheap unit price for what it contains (potentially selling their product at a loss like consoles do?) they stand a real risk of becoming a Microsoft/Windows style monopoly in the VR space. Nobody wants that.
 
Microsoft's headsets are able to be made by any hardware manufacturer, SteamVR is usable by any hardware manufacturer and game developer, Facebook is the only party that's continually tried to lock their platform down to ransom users.
The Microsoft headsets and the Vive/Index are much freer and less restrictive options, even if they have their own technical drawbacks. That's worth more than $ to me at least.
 
That said, Facebook vs Valve vs Microsoft might be a little off topic since the topic is about buying a headset in the first place, not necessarily which one.

The Oculus you mean? By FB? Hell no lol. Everyone has to stay the hell away from that stuff. As tech people, we all know the value of privacy. Having to log into FB just for a VR device? Hell no. All the privacy data they collect? Bad idea.

holy fucking shit this thing is so fast and cool and cool and so good and now i can no scope everyone and win fights (i was on a damn xbox one x on 120hz but still it was 60 fps, i didn't cap lock because last time i did that mods got angery)

All my older hardware is DDR3, this system uses DDR4 memory. I might pick up some other DDR4 sticks in the next few days to try and see what happens

He's just saying he would start the bid at $30 lol. But if he gets it for that much, damn lol. I once got a Sega Gamegear, with carrying case, several games for $18 CAD. Don't know how I won that auction at that price XD.

If your system is fine, I'd put it off for as long as possible. That at least gives the world time to fix all the update bugs. 😉

All it did for me is make Windows happy and make it say "20H2" instead of "2004".

Some programs got merged into the one, and some like System info. (About this PC) got replaced by the option in the Windows settings. I didn't update for a good reason. The update is useless just like the MS Edge.

I use an old iPad for this, and a variety of other things. Even a dash for flightsim dials!

I finally watched the video with Madison. Didn't realise it was a random person lol, I thought it was his sister or something before I watched the video. Anyhow, I usually don't laugh out loud much, but I really cracked up, because she was pretty damn funny. If anything, she would make a superb host or co-host with someone like Riley or David. They would be awesome duos. So.. Linus, WHEN are you gonna hire Madison?

I assume you have a dongle? See if you can place it in a different port. Windows will basically reinstall whatever and be like, "oh, you are plugging a new device." Even though it's the same. Maybe that will fix the issue.

I don't own Logitech peripherals (except a webcam), but I would assume you might have access to drivers and/or firmware? If so, see if you can update those (and the G Hub as well. Also, I know that Logitech has different software for the same things, depending on the region. At least, that has been my experience with them. Double check on a Logitech website in a different region just to make sure you have all the software available to you. I use one over the other for my webcam, because one of them isn't all that great lol). Otherwise, I do wonder if you may have to uninstall and reinstall them. If that still doesn't work, you'll have to contact Logitech to see if they are aware of this issue.

Do you have a problem with the term "Wi-Fi" as well? Evidently not, because you have no problem using it. Wi-Fi is also a marketing invention and its name tells nothing about its technical implementation.
 
The only difference between "Wi-Fi" and "cast" is how long they have been in the public consciousness. Nevertheless, the phrase "casting to another device" is not new, and has been relatively well understood for at least the last five years. When OP says "cast", I immediately understood that to mean that the goal is to connect to another device wirelessly, either to mirror an entire display or to play media on one device using another device as an input. It certainly does not mean to connect a display with a cable.
 
The "cast" in Miracast and Chromecast essentially mean the same thing. Even if it is a marketing invention, the fact that multiple companies use the term in the same way is evidence of adoption. That's what I mean when I said that cast is the correct term to describe what OP is trying to do. The fact that a CS rep did not understand the term has no relevance here. OP is asking the forum for help, which presumably has greater technical knowledge than an average CS rep.
 
And just think about how difficult it would be to ask this question without using the word "cast". The right-click context menu of a media file in Windows 10 literally has an option to "Cast to Device". Is OP supposed to say "I tried right-clicking and selected 'Toss to Device' but all I got was a black screen. Please help"?
