If your system is fine, I'd put it off for as long as possible. That at least gives the world time to fix all the update bugs. 馃槈

I see a few posts about Windows 10's update (that has been sitting on my PC for me to download for months now). The question I haven't seen answered, should I upgrade? Aside from this: "Microsoft Defender Application Guard for Office", I don't see any other reason to upgrade at all. Thoughts?

Some programs got merged into the one, and some like System info. (About this PC) got replaced by the option in the Windows settings. I didn't update for a good reason. The update is useless just like the MS Edge.

lol, I just update when it tells me... which is like every month. I figure might as well, in case there is a security update in there. Might as well be safe imo.

Well, seems that so far half the people say I should, and the other says either no or they don't know. I guess technically 3 people say no if I include myself, as no one has convinced me otherwise.

All it did for me is make Windows happy and make it say "20H2" instead of "2004".

I don't like the number (or year) 2004, because in 2004 the G4 was discontinued, OS X 10.3 was released (annoying OS to use), Apple began to think about leaving PowerPC.

The update is more of a Service Pack style update. The coming up one in Feb/March one (21H1) is also of similar style.

Microsoft focus was more on polishing Windows 10, and putting most of its energy onto its new OS: Windows 10X (Chromebook competitor聽and for new form factor devices. And no,聽it won't replace Windows 10). 21H2 will be a big update. Lots of GUI changes and improvement for Windows 10 is planned (we will see how far it goes...). Project name: Sun Valley
