MultiMigo got a reaction from Origami Cactus in SSD vs HDD Rendering Times
Thank you. Would RAID 0 give me better performance? I'm also planning to have my HDDs at a RAID 0 and then render my files there.

MultiMigo got a reaction from Acid Panda in Ryzen 2 2600 vs i7 3770K | VIDEO EDITING
Pretty much on a tight budget. I might dig deeper on the i7 3770K and that Ryzen's comparison. Thank you

MultiMigo reacted to Electronics Wizardy in 4K Video - Worth it? I have a question
What footage are you working with? If your dealing with 1080p footage, use a 1080p timeline, and do the 4k export at the end.

MultiMigo reacted to SupaKomputa in RAM Questions! Please help
no need to match the CL, it will run at the slowest.
As for different capacity, it will run in asynchronous dual channel.
Contrary to what many beliefs, mixing ram is fine, dual channel rules are not that strict.
this topic have been discussed lately, go search.

MultiMigo reacted to Jurrunio in 4.5GHz @ 1.25V IS IT GOOD? i5 3570K
1. Yes. @themctipers
But it is running way too hot
2. Probably.
3. If you have a spare machine

pcpartpicker has a completed builds section that has some really great looking rigs, can try there.

MultiMigo reacted to TVwazhere in Tecware Edge TG Radiator Support?
The H105 is indeed quite thick for a RAD; 38mm compared to standard 25mm (1.5" compared to 1") nowhere does it list the thickest rad you could put there but it looks like might be able to squeeze it in there... It will be tight though! It'd not a guarantee though, so if you can find an h110i that would be better.
RAD support is not listed for the top, so unless you plan to mod it, it most likely cannot fit a rad at the top, due to either fan mount positioning, motherboard VRM's, RAM modules or a combination of the three.

MultiMigo reacted to porina in Prime 95 vs IBT Different Temps
Most accurate at doing what?
Prime95 has various versions, various settings, so on the same system you can see different temperatures. For hottest CPU temperatures, usually you want to run small FFT on all threads (HT on). I have no idea how it compares to IBT.
Note Prime95's purpose isn't to heat up the CPU as such, it is to do real calculations, when not used as a stress test. It has been coded to be as efficient as they can possibly make it at that job. It is possible different tasks may result in different temperatures.
I'd further add, on that Ivy Bridge processor, it lacks more modern efficient instructions so it wont be hit as hard as from Haswell onwards.

MultiMigo reacted to NMS in Mix and Match Different RAM Sticks
Technically you can if all the specs are the same, but it's not recommended.
You might run into stability issues, specially if overclocking, or worst case scenario your system won't boot.

MultiMigo got a reaction from RollinLower in GTX 960 Founder's Edition Idle Temps/Load Temps
It is loud haha, but I really don't mind it since I use headphones and a fan haha.

MultiMigo reacted to userzero in GTX 960 Founder's Edition Idle Temps/Load Temps
I have the MSI verison of that card. The fans were too loud at 100% lol, I just let Afterburner decide that. Managed to get a serious clock speed bump out of it, but any more than a couple of mhz on the memory and it crashes. Cracking card for the money though.

those are very good temperatures for a blower style cooler! why do you have the fan at 100% tough? isn't it horribly loud like that?
-
MultiMigo reacted to hconverse02 in GTX 960 Founder's Edition Idle Temps/Load Temps
Yup. 62C under load is really low. In perspective, ~95C is usually t-junction for nvidia cards, so you are perfectly fine. Even temps in the 80s are fine. Anything above 90 could be an issue, but isn't that big of a deal.

MultiMigo reacted to LienusLateTips in Are Wattage Calculators Accurate/Legit?
Nope, they overestimate by quite a bit, 50-100W. That doesn't mean you can cheap out on a PSU and get a CX450M either.
(better than they used to be, when i was a noob i used one and it told me i needed 671W for a R7 370 and i5 4460, which uses like 200W)

MultiMigo reacted to Electronics Wizardy in Are Wattage Calculators Accurate/Legit?
Yep, there fairy accurate. More on the higher side normally and you will almost never see that much power usage as your not running gpu + cpu workloads at the same time.

MultiMigo reacted to Electronics Wizardy in Are Wattage Calculators Accurate/Legit?
Yea thats right. Most people get overkill psu's. New systems really don't pull that much power.

MultiMigo reacted to TomW0102 in Help me make my build Aesthetically good
UV paint and some UV cathodes maybe?
Styling is very personal to be honest.

MultiMigo reacted to Energycore in Help me make my build Aesthetically good
A couple things I'd change -
Cable management: Your ATX cable kind of crosses with the others going up to the connector. Move it up so it comes from the top of the gromet.
Cooler: Ew that's a 212 EVO, those things look as bad as they perform. Buy something that looks great like a Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3 or a less expensive Cryorig H7 / H5
For me the exhaust fan not being aligned with the cooler fan is a deal breaker. It just breaks my OCD.
Make sure it's on-theme. The black-red Gaming X or Silver-Yellow AMP! coolers will just not fit with your build, but something silvery-black like EVGA's coolers will.
Honestly I'd just buy the better looking CPU cooler (doesn't have to be an AIO especially if you're not going to overclock) and some RGB fans / strips. Not to display them on the rainbow setting which is tacky af but since your case is mostly white, any color you like on the LEDs will work to make the PC look great. Want it to be pink? RGB has your back. Feeling Dark Red Black Metally today? Your computer can demonstrate your angst as well!
If you're not overclocking your CPU I feel like a top-down flow cooler is aesthetically more pleasing. Something like the Noctua NH-C14S (with a different fan, maybe even an RGB fan).

MultiMigo reacted to Crunchy Dragon in Help me make my build Aesthetically good
Also I freaking love the fact that you have a car sitting on the PSU shroud, what car is that?
-
MultiMigo reacted to Crunchy Dragon in Help me make my build Aesthetically good
A good dedicated GPU, some LED fans, and an eATX motherboard honestly. The spacing between the end of the standard ATX and the cable grommets is just way too big.

MultiMigo got a reaction from Psittac in Is my Overclock good?
Another update, Tested with Prime95 26.6
Temps were at max 80C

MultiMigo reacted to Psittac in Is my Overclock good?
food for thought: stable clocks are known over long periods of time without random crap happening. Stress stable and actual stable aren't always the same.
Anyways congrats on the clock, my 3570k has a very poor cooler so I never clocked it much.
