The user was also able to reproduce the issue while recording it.
Pretty severe issue. I don't understand how this can even be an issue. And I can only imagine the kind if lawsuits and legal issues this could lead to.
On Reddit they say you must dial 116 instead *cough cough, wink wink*
Update: tldr it's most likely an issue with non-stock dialers.

why_ reacted to Oshino Shinobu in [Update] China tells carriers to block access to personal VPNs by February 1, 2018, [Bloomberg is reporting erroneously]
Theresa May (our Prime Minister) has made it clear she has intentions to regulate and restrict what can be said, posted and seen on the internet, also making it clear that she will change human rights laws to accomplish that and make the UK "the global leader in the regulation of the use of personal data and the internet".
She wants an outright ban on full encryption, basically a scrapping of the rights to privacy and freedom of speech and regulation on what is and isn't acceptable on the internet (the UK Government seems to have an irrational obsession with what type of porn people are watching).
Basically, our government looks up to China in the way they handle internet access. Though, to become the "global leader" in internet regulation, that would mean surpassing North Korea as well. Say hello to Kim-Jong-May and her field of wheat and oppression.
http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/theresa-may-internet-conservatives-government-a7744176.html
EDIT: Of course, there has been no actual information on how they plan to really enforce or accomplish this, or how they're going to either find the massive amount of funds it would take or get companies to pay for it. I kind of hope big companies just pull services entirely from the UK, N.Ireland joins back up with the Republic, then I can move over there and leave the UK to sit in the mess that it has made for itself.

why_ reacted to Prysin in Pentiums cannibalizing i3 sales - Guess what intel does!!
Yes, clickbait title is clickbait - sue me.
So yey, Good to see that Intel still knows how to play the game. I'm sure this will be completely un-problematic when AMD launches their RYZEN 3 series later this year..

why_ reacted to HarmFull in Yi technology (xiaomi) released it's 3rd gen action cam 2 weeks ago
I didn't see any post of this here in the LTT forum nor could I find anything by search so I'm posting this.
Last year LMG posted a video of the 2nd gen camera of Xiaomi. The YI 4K was basically at that point beating the hero 4 black left and right.
LTT review:
Main points for this camera were:
Half the price of a GoPro Same mounting system as GoPro Longer batterylife Capacitive touchscreen After Linus' review though, GoPro unleashed their hero 5 black on the market, which basically in terms of specs is very similar to the YI 4K camera linus reviewed but with two features that set it above last year's competitor.
Waterproof without a case up to 10 meters Voice control Two weeks ago however, YI technology (Xiaomi's camera department) put the YI 4K+ on the market. It's the first action cam with 4K 60fps and 4K 30fps with EIS (electronic image stabilization). Also the price is 299USD
Here's a comparison that was made between the cameras:
So in short it has 4k 60fps, a larger battery, longer filming time and it costs less.
What about image quality you might ask, here's a comparison I found:
According to the creator of the video:
Time for a 2017 action cam comparison? @LinusTech?

this is seriously fucked up!
MS is now actively blocking updates when it detects:
Intel seventh (7th)-generation processors or later AMD “Bristol Ridge” or later Qualcomm “8996" or later
MS doing everything in their bag of shitty tricks to stop people from using W7/8/8.1

why_ reacted to Bensemus in Rumor: GTX 1080Ti to be announced on February 28th
Isn't that exactly what good launch day drivers are? Drivers that are well optimized when the product launches? I don't see how you can have good launch day drivers any other way except by putting work into them...
Does this mean that if AMD's new GPUs launch with well tuned drivers we should get angry at them for working on them all this time?
I really don't see what you are complaining about. Do you think Nvidia should have launched the 1080ti sooner which would have just created competition among Nvidia's own cards as AMD doesn't have their highend GPU out yet.
