Yes they have DDR4 versions of the most boards.

    Example:
    MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard

Make sure there is a DDR4 at the end of the mobo name

3000MHz CL16 is way, way too slow to pair with a 5900X. Get a kit of 3600MHz CL16, and throw away the RGB if you have to for cost.

The 280mm LFII is perfectly sufficient. It's what I'm using to cool my 5900X.

I can't think of a less appropriate story to include the phrase "privacy at last" in the titlw.

Herrrr derrr why does piracy exist. Really Adobe? I would much rather pay $650 once than $59/month forever and be sued because I couldn't update my AdobeCC apps because I hit my data limit on my internet. Davanci resolve and GIMP I guess

    You could say it's threadripped

So looks like AMD has now taken the record for both Single and Dual Socket, at least for the time being. Der8auer was able to reach a maximum clock of 4.04GHz on 2x Epyc 7601 32 Core Processors for a score of 10535.

Oh note, it's a novec cooled sever rack and it's going to be shown at Gamescom!

Personally I think this is some next level shit, he mentions it almost beating a quad socket score at some point as well. I can't wait to see what he does with Epyc 2

Fun fact with that cursor lag: it's not always just the cursor. I had two displays connected to my RX 580 before and after the update. After the update, I experienced massive stuttering in all applications and on the desktop. Hoping for some kind of microfix since I also seemingly cannot roll back.

The 8700K is the best CPU for premiere sadly.

If you don't do much if any gaming get a 1070/ti or Vega 56

Not sure if those are the new WD Black SSDs, new ones are faster, could always just buy samsung as well.

Think it's usually better to get 500gb sticks over 1TB sticks cost wise. Although I'm not sure if there's a bottleneck with the 8700K and it's PCI-e lanes...maybe just get 1TB stick in that case, should probably build a NAS for the rest of your storage needs.
