maximus extreme mobo and h100i but still at stock speed for you 4770k? any reason why? i know its not needed as stock speeds on intel cpus are fast enough....but have you tried to overclock yet? just wondering =) also i havent made this purchase yet but as soon as i get refunded for my old gpu as it had coil whine im gonna get this

Looks pretty sweet! I'll just take your word for it that it's all under the budget you set for yourself, haha.

I built my pc, installed windows 7....my favouraite OS.....tried 8...wasnt bad, dont hate it worked reasonably well only noticeable improvement was boot time....same thing with 8.1....boot time is only thing you noticeably gain. im going back to windows 7 tommorow because guild wars 2 doesnt like it.. i miss windows 7..

this is the build i have planned for my firend.....his budget is around £500 s i can always remove the ssd and get to that price point.....but it'll be a nice machine. Still not too sure if the cpu cooler is too tall for the case.... but yeah....remoce the ssd from the build i linked and maybe buy a different case.....

I'd probably go with this. Costs 520£ but I think the addition of an ssd is just essential, especially as you said 'light gaming' so you might even be able to just go to a 7750 and be on budget.

Just got a 7970 Matrix though. Although having more artifact-ing issues than my 660ti... but in sheer performance it rips it a new one, especially how I picked it up new for £250 from scan...

As in my thread previously which was more or less decimated by AMD fanboys, Intel is better yes if you have the money for it. If you don't, stick with AMD as they have great bang for buck CPUs. I have not seen a lot of people who are extremely dissatisfied with AMD FX Piledriver CPUs. And with more programs being more multithreaded optimized, I don't see the reason as to not go AMD at all.

The usual choice for enthusiasts is intel but that doesnt mean amd is any worse. 2 fps is not the only reason to buy fx cpus and if it was then its a stupid reason...no one will care for an extra 2 fps unless they are benchmark whores.......if they had lets say an extra 15fps then it would be more acceptable, but they dont.....this thread should be closed. It has no purpose whatsoever....

oh my days....ive recommended the sabertooth 990fx for £134 and people have just ignored ti and are like " if you can get it in your budget then get the sdabertooth" i even put a link....anubikai is invisible.....
