NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti benchmarks leaked!!

Youbetternot

Benchmarks are out!!!! For the GTX 780 Ti

In futuremark the GTX 780 Ti and the HD 7990 is pretty close. However in Unigine 'valley' benchmark the HD 7990 beats it. The HD 7990 and the GTX 780 TI are pretty close in gaming performance, then again a HD 7990 is two 7970 (Correct me if I am wrong), If two GTX 780 Ti was Slied it will probably beat the HD 7990.

First NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti benchmarks have been posted on Chiphell.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti equipped with 2880 CUDA cores is clearly leading in Single-GPU charts. The performance of 780 Ti is almost as good as GTX 690′s, which is a dual-GK104 graphics card. Just as I told you earlier the GTX 780 Ti can score 6000k points in 3Dmark11 Extreme, of course this requires some overclocking. Here we have a score around 5800, which is already a good number.

System power consumption is definitely higher than other cards. We are looking at 500 watts here, which is definitely more than R9 290X in this comparison. The leaker claims that the card is running at average 970 MHz, which is 100+ MHz overclock. The GTX 780 Ti is supposedly labeled with a maximum power draw at 275W, that’s without any clock manipulation. Rising the clock could increase power requirement rapidly. These numbers will require much more sophisticated review to be sure, but just so you know, these are not stock settings.

GeForce-GTX-780-Ti-Unigine.jpg

Gaming benchmarks revealed that overclocked GeForce GTX 780 Ti can compete with R9 290X in high resolution tests. In 1080p and 1600p, GTX 780 Ti clearly outperforms other cards in this comparison, but since it only uses 384-bit interface, the higher the resolution the worse the performance gets. In Battlefield 3, which AMD Gaming Evolved title, overclocked GTX 780 Ti can offer much better performance in every resolution.

Soo stoked for this! It'll probably be for sale for around $600-$650, because retailers always go under the recommended price.

Dem watts... No doubt a watercooled test, don't think a 780Ti will reach 500W on air....

And now I'm happy I bought that 1050W PSU last year... 2x 780Ti 6GB here I come.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

So, in some circumstances its performing on par with 2 slightly under-clocked 680's. DAYUM.

Just got a 7970 Matrix though. Although having more artifact-ing issues than my 660ti... but in sheer performance it rips it a new one, especially how I picked it up new for £250 from scan...

Holy crap, that is some serious performance for a single GPU! :o

And people said I was wrong for expecting the 780Ti to outperform the Titan by a 10% or greater margin. :P

All good, but at 4K the 290X is still better value :)

Yeah, but how many people will actually have 4k in the next year or two? Not many.

same, but i dont have any artifacting. Just sometimes firfox has a drawing bug but it goes when i move the window,,,,,what do you get artifacting in? also the 780ti looks like a really nice card. But i still wouldnt shell out $600 for a card....$380 was my max and for 1080p the 7970 matrix is a boss....still lots of unhappy 780 and titan owner now =) i know id be feeling like crap if all these pricing rumours come true...

This will never happen though its faster or as fast as the titan, so you can calc with a pricetag somewhere around 800ish

This website in chrome, I get artifacts in odd places, but only on LTTF oddly, like small box coloured distored pixels around 50x50 in a checker pattern. anywhere on the webpage. But on on LTTF.   it goes away if i flick to another tab and come back, but it only solves it for a few mins. I presume it could be a rendering bug in chrome, as i'm pretty sure chrome is OpenGL accelerated is it not? or a driver issue...

Also, just in games -sometimes-. Minecraft can really bug out a lot -sometimes- and other times, it will be fine. I presume its a driver issue as it works perfectly fine in other titles (bar i think BF3 where it just lost it completely for a few seconds, temps are fine.

who cares about value if you cant afford a 4k monitor let alone the most recent video card?

Yeh, I get really good frames (see this post I made http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/67941-my-experience-upgrading-3570k-to-3770k/).

I'm on "Driver Packaging Version 13.152-130830a-163178C-ATI" which i think means 13.11. They really should lay it out simply... also 13.9 cat. version.

Im also running the matrix platinum btw, but at stock.

Of course you can. This power usage is for the whole system (probably a oced 6-core) and at the wall.

1200 Watt should be fine for quad-SLI ;)
