I would not build anything without an SSD, especially if you're using this system for other things then just gaming alone. Seriously get an SSD... makes an incredible difference.

not a gaming build.......even a 7750 would be enough......a 280x isnt needed...more cpu compute power and loading times/speed.....

I'd probably go with this. Costs 520£ but I think the addition of an ssd is just essential, especially as you said 'light gaming' so you might even be able to just go to a 7750 and be on budget.

If at most it will be flash based games you can probably just use onboard and get a bigger ssd. LIke this:

More expensive, psu is not big enough, non-dual channel ram, and matx mobo in mid atx case is awkward.

There.....my friend doesn't need an ssd.....plus 120gb would be too small for him. He would need at least 512gb which will cost a lot...i used to have that cit vantage case and its completely fine for him. Plus it looks fairly good....not amazing but not terrible and it also allows a 990fx mobo and a 8350 which will be better for my friend.....

Why would he need a 512GB ssd?? 120GB should be plenty for the os, programs, and a few games.

Again, the ram is too tall for the case.

Has he used an ssd before? Moreover, have you used an ssd before? It makes a world of difference.

-,- i know ssd's increase speed quite a bit compared to hdds but im trying to limit the price down. Instead of having a lower cpu and mobo with ssd now im opting for better mobo and better cpu then ssd later. Ill tell him about it and then when he can get one ill move his files over to it or whatever......for me a minimum 256gb would be needed....i fill up 200gb easy on re-installs of windows and adding all my programmes and files back and thats excluding my 500gb of games. ill tell him about the ssd and if he wants one now ill say itll cost more.... and show him this...

That works fine but you should really be pouring the money into the gpu and not the cpu.

hes gonna be multitasking a lot......gaming is his last concern. I just put a 7870xt in there because then his brothers and him can atleast play minecraft and stuff like that properly......a 7970 is too much tbh =/ he isnt a pc gamer....he would be better off with the 8350 i think....
