Literally everyone complains about Intel's pricing. Have you been living under a rock?

NovusBal reacted to ThePointblank in Canon EOS R5 and R6 Product Announcement
It's a mirrorless replacement for the 5D Mark IV, so it is a Nikon D850 and Sony A7R III and IV competitor. That sort of competition says the camera should be a sub $4000 USD camera.

Sure, but this drone isn't really any more dangerous than an armed hitman and probably not much harder to trace back to the owner... I mean, unless the owner just abandons it you can follow it straight back to them. Hacking could be a problem, but the chances of a hacker actually snatching control from you mid flight are pretty slim - they still need to be in range to pilot it, even if it's partly automated, so it probably wouldn't be too hard to trace them either.
For all intents and purposes it's a gun, so I would expect gun regulations to apply to this too. I would also expect drone regulations to apply to this - the two combined probably cover enough ground to prevent the need of new legislation in most countries.

Source: https://www.tomsguide.com/us/russia-flying-rifle-drone,news-29765.html
Russia previously had a crazy patent design for a flying rifle, everyone assumed it was just one of those non-sensicle patents that nothing would happen with, however...
BEHOLD! (Video)
Acording to the source this is a 23 kilo drone, that carries a 12-caliber Vepr automatic shotgun. This may seem comical at start but this actually becomes pretty terrifying pretty quickly.
Smart car navigations, electronic homes & online systems are already being hacked and exploited, now imagine the thought of someone gaining control of these for nefarious use, that is truly terrifying.
When did call of duty become real life?
I wonder if this will affect drone laws in any way as people (Criminals) become even more inspired to make those make shift janky drones with guns. Which has already happenned.
Keep it clean discussing this folks, no bringing up any unecesary topics to cause flaming.

I'm no expert but I think the challenge of handling knock back recoil on a drone flying by a few tiny motors might be a bit beyond a hobbyist, let alone targeting systems and reloading systems.

They should look into a walking gun next.

Starting to run out of salt for this thread!
But in seriousness - those clocks seem really off, unless if they are simply LN2, or extreme overclock results rather than stable daily use then i'd believe it.
Look in terms of CPU power, if they can hit the same SC as a 9900k with the increased core count that'd be a massive improvement in my eyes.

I was fully with the claims until I read that last part. My 14nm 6 cores/6 threads CPU tops at 5.3GHz and he's claiming that a 7nm 6 cores/12 threads CPU can do 5.8GHz.
I'll use a Pentium for a week if this becomes true.

You can find more details about that processor here:
https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/30796/intel-xeon-processor-x7350-8m-cache-2-93-ghz-1066-mhz-fsb.html
A little outdated but i'm curious how it performs.

NovusBal got a reaction from Damascus in [Rumor Mill Question] 8700k or possible 8 core coffee lake on the horizon?
Good thing he has to upgrade the mobo anyway (Or there'd be a riot, poor 8700k guys wanting to upgrade again), second half of this year estimate so likely start hearing more in the next couple months.
An 8 core would be pretty good, especially if it can keep up with the 8700k's frequencies, i'd expect it to be hot as hell, but some nice performance.

8 cores is the rumor, for sure.

This is the most recent info I have seen. Looks like a new MOBO will be needed (AGAIN!!) for this CPU.

NovusBal got a reaction from Taf the Ghost in Assassins Creed Origin DRM Hammers Gamers’ CPUs
Little update here: 6700k sitting at 4.3, hits 100% just walking around, insane amounts of issues, mouse delays, input delays for keys, it's freezing my entire damn system. That's with background processes turned off besides monitoring tools.
Guess i'll have to put it to potato mode so it doesn't poop the damn bed, what the heck Ubisoft. No performance hits my derrière, unless they are just accepting the game is so poorly optimised that they may as well mail me pictures of the game, might have less bleeping input delay.
