Well, I would disagree with @Space Reptile, I know how most telecom cables look like... I found several variants of alarm device cables on Google, but none exactly as this (it's almost definitely for alarm devices). 

That is definitely not telephone wire.

You can put something like scotch tape over the LED strips to diffuse it better, or buy LED strips that have a diffusing material on them already so the lighting is more even. The problem most strips have (other than diffusing) is they use too few LEDs which creates more apparent bright spots.

1. The size you need is determined by slot spacing. How many PCI slots can fit between your 2 cards and that's what helps you determine the bridge size you need
2. If your PC is well ventilated (2 front intake and 1 rear exhaust and 1 top exhaust for instance) you're better off getting aftermarket coolers since they're better and lots quieter than reference. Especially in well ventilated cases

I would suggest you to wait for after market 480s. It seems like the power over draw from PCI-E slot is a real problem. And chances are, the dell pc will use some cheap mobo that cant deliver power exceed its limit: 75W, and with a reference 480 you will experience a lot of sudden shut down and system instability.

390x out of the list. But if you're doing 1080p only it actually might be a bit overkill. Not sure why 480 isn't on your list: that and the 1060 will be very competitive options shortly.

1.  Make sure you have the newest drivers installed.
 
2.  As @Rider480 mentioned, you can try turning up the power limit (not the clock speed) to stabilize the card.  Try just 20-30% first.

I offered to someone that I would format their PC and just install windows and drivers.. Something very simple that anyone with a basic understand of a computer can do, for just $20 for my time on it.
They went elsewhere, paid $100, got the same service, had a bunch of unnecessary bloat like itunes installed(they didn't have any idevice) and half the drivers weren't even installed too., they thought the service would be "better".. Because apparently formatting a PC can be done a few dozen ways and for $20, it's the worst possible way right? I hate people...

You're not gonna buy a Mac Pro just for fucking gaming.

It still performs better than anything apple can provide. In all categories.
